Wow…
what a lot of busy flyladies.
been to work, having sorted out the jelly bag and having shoved the bowl in the oven. After work I popped to town to bank the takings, changed the trousers in M&S and bought birthday cards to take me to the end of 2022.
I came home via m
MrL because I had a £10 off and it was the last day, so topped up with a few bits. I’ve made my bramble jelly, and most of tea. I have also washed up and dried and washed up some more, as well as filling the DW and putting a load in the WM,
Tomorrow I go to meet the oncology team…or 1 of, at least. I’ve also got an offer of plums…I have to go and pick them myself.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Lots of shortbread in the tin for the WAC.. enjoy xLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -
Morning all. Anyone else in the WAC? Or do I have first pick of the shortbread? Thanks, piggers, I love shortbread! Yes, it's only just coming up to 4.00 and I've been awake since 2.15. This is ridiculous. I fell asleep at around 10.30 to the sweet sound of thunder during a downpour, so it may have been the rain stopping that woke me up. Or it may have been toothache (I visited the dentist only a couple of weeks ago
).
Today's plan:
- send a group text, but not too early: I don't want the recipients being woken by the ping
- put sausages for tea in the SC,
- relocate the smaller pile of papers from the spare bed: file/bin/shred as appropriate
- sort the larger sheaf of papers (ditto)
- deal with my personal cane toads one page at a time: fill in forms, print out and arrange for signing. Unfortunately the Royal Mail strikes this week are going to slow things down again, but what's another week's delay when it's taken me ten years to get to where I am now?
- DH will probably want a lift to and from SW, especially if the weather forecast is correct
- Rosie will want a walk during a thunderless dry spell, or she will refuse to go out at all
- DH will need a lift to the little local horse piddle for a chest xray late this afternoon.
Brain-dumping that little lot has tired me out, so I might try going back to bed for a while. See you later xx8 -

I have to say that I’m surprised that there was any shortbread left for anyone else in the WAC…
The lovely sound of rain pitter pattering on the roof. I will soon tire of it, but for now it means that I am about to start book number 3 of the week…
Village festivities done on Sunday, and cleaned away yesterday. Ooohhh, I am claiming that as flying, as copious amounts of “field” food prep and washing up was done, as well as the obligatory eating and drinking.
Have a lovely day all x8 -
Morning all, read the list for yesterday. Luckily DGC aren't back at school till today, and as DS-i-L is here, he's sorting them. Did wipe the table. Also spent around an hour sat in the, (one day when it's fixed and running and a million more bits have been bought, will be a,) camper, up on the ramp, pumping the brake pedal. While OH fiddled and shouted instructions. Not fixed the brakes, it needs some bits!
Today we need to go shopping, i still need to fill in the form, haven't yet phoned the dentists, have to make meatballs to go with the pasta. First I'm planning to hoover the stairs, before DD1 comes in from nights. Hugs, speak later, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.
Grocery challenge, £1300 food plus £200 cleaning materials etc, for the year.9 -
Up now and wearing glasses…
DD has gone to her placement so I’ll be on tea duty.
I woke at 8 so I decided to pop down and iron on cheap rate leccy, so that’s airing on maiden/hangers.
Back in bed with coffee but getting up shortly as I am at the horse piddle in steel city later.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all. All the shortbread got eaten.
So far today, as well as dailies, I have changed Bedding, been all over the house with the duster on a stick, polished mirrored surfaces and s&sd bathrooms.
Just having a cuppa, then I'll walk Poppet. Then it will be just the floors to hoover and mop when I get back. And washing to get up to date. Also going to make a pie today to use some of the blackberries.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
