What is best, under or over and which is safe to leave on all night?I've only ever had underblankets. The ones I've had have been safe to leave on all night, although whenever I've tried (or have forgotten and fallen asleep) I generally wake up too hot in the wee small hours and have to switch it off again.N. I ordered from here last month. They were down to £23 each, but now back up to the £32. Quality and controls are excellent.

Under blanket on the lowest setting (15w) is too warm for all night.0

I've got a cozytek heated electric throw and it's brilliant. It's rated at 110-120w and on the new price rates it should be about 4p per hour to run.
I've found it only needs switching on for about half an hour and then it stays warm for ages. It's lovely and soft and big enough to wrap up in it, and can be machine washed as well.
My cats and dogs push each other off it0 -
The trouble with heated throws is they are expensive and only last a few months before breaking.
Electric blankets on the settee on a low setting might be a better option.1
