Does anyone know where i can rent a professional cyclist? im sure i could figure out how to rig them up and at current prices it might actually work out cheaper.Krakkkers said:Professional cyclists produce a fairly constant 400w and can produce 900w plus in a sprint.

Interesting, this is the one post that has prompted me to consider the possibility of heated clothing - as a supplement to heating rather than a replacement (which would NOT work for me, heating the human never has - I grew up without heating, knew and used all the tricks, but only getting central heating a few years ago enabled me to actually function a little bit in winter. I always joked that I needed to hibernate in winter, but my body honestly felt like it was on the verge of shutting down for 6 long months. A warm core doesn't have enough effect without good circulation!).DerwentMailman said:I got a heated throw Xmas Eve 2021 and not looked back since. I was able to reduce the CH thermostat down to 18C using the heated throw to heat the me and my wife particularly in the evening after eating. Felt warmer than having the CH at 20-21C (without the throw). Looking to see how Autumn's usage pans out with this different means of feeling cosy
… anyone seen an adult-sized heated snowsuit?

I get chills and need a warm house due to my health condition. however I just took the plunge and got a heated throw so that I could cut back on the heating.. It's one of the more expensive ones but worth every penny imo. So thick, soft and warm. Love it!

Could someone post a link of the throws and clothes please

Plenty of items on Amazon using 'heated throw' or 'heated suit for men/women' in your search. I got a Dreamcatcher throw (rated at 110-120W power draw) currently about £50.0

Another vote for a heated throw. I was given one for my birthday last year. So cozy even on lowest setting.0

I got a fleece duvet cover from a supermarket last year (non electric) perfectly warm and none ongoing costs with it.
Looking for a single one this year, plop in a summer 4.5 tog duvet for the sofa.
I personally believe they don't need to be electric as they do the job of heating you well.
