I'm not sure where to start on this as it might sound a bit confusing. I have been driving my sons car while he has been away for the past few months.  The other day, I accidently opened his post and saw that it was a reminder from QDR solicitors for a parking charge notice, for parking in a disabled bay without displaying a blue badge (I am a blue badge holder), in a retail park on 28 Nov 23.  I checked the date of the parking charge notice and I know that it was me who parked there that day, however, I never had any parking charge notice stuck on my windscreen, otherwise I would have either paid or disputed.  Now it turns out after opening my sons letters (with his permission) that I have had a reminder from GCTT and QDR solicitors, but because my son is the registered owner and keeper, the letters have been sent to him.  They now say he owes (or I owe) £170! GCTT letter is worded exactly the same as above (to grandanat).  I can't get through to any of them. UK parking control dont answer and the number for GCTT is invalid (01932 239193).  Can anyone give me any advice please?
    STOP TRYING TO RING THEM.

    DO NOT PAY.

This thread is not about QDR.

Please start a new thread about that letter (which IMHO is a misleading pike of tosh) and we'll tell your son - the registered keeper -  (NOT YOU) how to report QDR to be investigated by the CSA and HMRC.

    Noted. Over we go! 😌
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Great news.

You have suffered in the hands of the dregs of the industry from UKPC, the OSNER boys doing a Wonga, through to the son of WHOPLA ???

WHOPLA was just a previous scam by the BPA before the GREAT OSNER SCAM came along with their pretence of being legal when all the BPA is just members club with NO legal authority  to add  fake amounts
If you come across this amout of total crap in future, you now know what they to do

Sorry if I could just request some quick advice. The initial response in this thread from 2022 says ignore letters unless it says "Letter Of/Before Claim"

We've had the GCTT ("Warning before this case is transferred to solcitors") and ZZPS ("Debt Collection Notice") letters and one from Civil Enforcement ("Letter Before Action - Claim for Debt")

It's a bit confusing as the Civil Enforcement letters is from 12Jun and says the debt is lower than that of the letters from ZZPS and GCTT. The ZZPS letter is dated 28MAY and the GCTT letter 13JUN so there's some significant overlap as well.

Would these be a "respond" situation or still ignore?

    TIA

EDIT: If it's relevant it's also addressed to the wrong name but right surname (Think Robert instead of Richard), but I think last time this issue arose spelling mistakes didn't matter.

@darkwarrior, it really would be best if you were to start a new thread about that.
If people don't realise that this is an entirely different incident, confusion will reign.

As a starter, read the fourth post of the NEWBIES thread.
