Best Bitter?

I bet if you wait a bit, you get the same and more at providers that are easier to deal with and don't need a middleman like Raisin. Mind you, if you cannot be identified electronically, you're likely to have similar issues everywhere else.chrisbur said:

Out of interest (no pun intended), what attracts you to Raisin?chrisbur said:In my conversation with Raisin I was advised of about 4 other acceptable proofs. One was A Blue Badge and a couple others that I did not have and then the last one on the list was A Freedom pass issued by London councils. I said I had a pass from my council and it was suggested I try this and see what happens. I will advise outcome.0 -
In exactly the same way as somebody who hasn't already got a passport is currently vetted when applying for a passport. Other countries manage to issue ID cards without issues, and their citizens, their businesses and their authorities all benefit from having them. Anyway, we are going off topic.p00hsticks said:True - and if everyone could magically be given correct ID cards that could not be forged then the problem would go away. But any introduction of ID cards would pose the same issue as already being experienced but on a massive scale - namely, how does anyone who doesn't already possess a passport and driving licence prove who they are for the purposes of getting an ID card issued to them ?

I've been asked for proof of ID, despite being verified electronically by many providers over the last few years, including Al Rayan who verified me online within half an hour of my Raisin application. For a difference in interest of under a tenner, life's too short to deal with Raisin.

Not sure how you calculated the "interest of under a tenner," without knowing the amount involved. Anyway I am starting to enjoy this game.Rudyson said:happybagger said:I just wouldn't bother tbh and go elsewhereExactly my attitude. And the account I wanted at Raisin has now been withdrawn anyway.1 -
When I looked there was also some stuff in their t&cs about the deposit going via a third party with a short period with it not earning interest (and on closure I seem to recall the same would happen). Either way, this also needs to be factored in.Rudyson said:For a difference in interest of under a tenner, life's too short to deal with Raisin.
I couldn't be bothered. Some people don't like old style passbooks, fair enough, but with internet accounts I'd expect internet service,0 -
In Raisin's case, Old Peculier perhaps?1
