Pension credit delays

Hi all I applied for pension credit on june
2nd 2022 an online claim.I received an email that they had received the claim.
I have phoned them at least 7 times regarding what's the delay. Each time you will get a phone call within 3>5 days. Not one phone call.
The pension credit said I am entitled to it but he didn't have the details of how much it was and was processed on the 18th of August 22.
So I have been in touch with them today l told them I still have not received any pension credit.
The reply was there still delays.
It's now 13 weeks and still delays.

They've got quite a backlog I believe. I've heard of people waiting 4 or 5 months.1

I spoke to them today on behalf of a client who I assisted with a claim on May 5th. Client is still waiting and they promised a call back within 10 days ! It used to be a call back within 48 hours. None of my clients who have been promised a call back recently have actually received one. The advisor I spoke to said it was because the government have been encouraging people to apply.0

There’s been a few posts on here about this. It seems that many people are waiting for 6 months.0

There was campaign in June but the delays of 6 months predated the campaign.Rubyroobs said:The advisor I spoke to said it was because the government have been encouraging people to apply.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1 -
Sorry to jump in on this thread with another question but ....
I reach State Pension age in 3 weeks time and will desperately need Pension Credit to survive.
I have read numerous stories about the long delays and lack of returned calls but what is adding to my worries is this; I was royally messed around by several departments on the telephone so decided I would apply in writing by downloading and completing the application form. This I did on August 11. I am worried that I could wait 6 months or more (though goodness knows how I will manage that) and only then they tell me that they have not received my application.
It seems from reading above that a telephone application brings a comfirmation email that the application is in the queue but I have received nothing like this.
Is it normal for a written application to be acknowleged or not?
Thanks for any help.0 -
If you applied on-line you would have an email sent to you on what you had put on the on-line application form.
I sent mine on-line 2 June and I got an email the same day.0 -

As stated in my post I did not apply online, I completed the form and posted it.
The reason for this is that I do not have enough years on my record and because of that online applications are not possible.
I imagine that emails following online submissions are auto generated anyway.
Any other replies appreciated.0 -
I don’t understand that comment as PC has nothing to do with your record.chalkie99 said:The reason for this is that I do not have enough years on my record and because of that online applications are not possible.
However you can’t claim PC unless you have applied for SP. Do you mean that you have been unable to apply for SP because you have less than 10 years of NI credits or contributions? Have you checked your NI record? Have you previously claimed any benefits?

This may have been a reply to the OP and not to you. Which is exactly why you should start your own thread when asking questions because it does cause confusion when asking on other peoples threads.chalkie99 said:antjos1 said:If you applied on-line you would have an email sent to you on what you had put on the on-line application form.
