So my mobile is so old it's not recognised by the mapping and won't let me check.
Its Samsung GT - 19100
Any ideas how I check before I move provider please?
I've tried other sites that just take me back to the EE site. I'm in a rural location and while it's got lots better there are 'cold' spots.

That’s the Galaxy S2. I’m afraid that It’s 2G/3G only and so won’t work very well after 3G is turned off soon.

That's the S3 Mini, also only 2G/3G capable and rapidly approaching EOL.

Been to look, one phone shop closed, another phones at £200. Tescos pathetic in our rural area and none of the phones say if they're 5g or what.
Only bought this one 3yrs ago because the new sims didn't fit my phone.
    Landline calls expensive.
For a low user it's a nightmare re expenditure for something seldom used.

    A new thread perhaps  :/

Penguin, just been looking it up.
Initially it wasn't for some time ie 2033 but vodaphone and Ee are going for next year. Some haven't specified but are going to have to follow the heard.

Glad I moved from Vodafone!! They don't offer 2G across the county I live in let alone 3g!

Bally, I didnt purchace from a phone provider.
I purchased it unlocked so I could change provider but they are all accelerating prices and changing to 5g.

It doesn't matter where you purchased it. If the SIM doesn't fit, your service provider will change it for you.
You can check the specs of every phone online, including Tesco Mobile. If you're in a rural area without 5G yet, then a standard 4G handset will be absolutely fine for you for the next few years.
There are plenty of budget Android phones down to as little as about £70 which will do the job you need it for. for example, this on Amazon for £85? Not a recommendation though, just a random search.
