~blush~ Thank you DustyK. You've made me feel very welcome. I will do my best to stay in the new year, but once I'm back at work, I won't be able to be on half as much. But then, maybe that's the time I REALLY need to be on here, to make sure my home is under control constantly rather than having to waste a whole week's leave getting it back up to scratch!Dustykitten wrote: »If you like Turkey then why nt get a small crown. Thanks for the tip. I might just get one in anyway. I'd half been contemplating getting one for Christmas Eve (I suspect the kids will be out partying) to cook for my dinner then and have available for cold cuts the following day or so.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Ok im done but i feel dead. Also im hungry but have no appetite to eat anything. Humph. So what did i achieve....
Now i have to:
[STRIKE] Wipe and hoover spare room
Remove floordrobe from my room
Hoover and dust my room
Have a drink
Strip wash and remake bed
Sit down for 5 mins as i run out of energy
Dust and hoover lounge
Decide what to do with the odd bits that came out of the kitchen that i dont use. (will propably bin them!!)
Take my antib's
Hang the coats up back in the kitchen
Take some brufen and paracetamol to stop my throat feeling like im swallowing glass
Wipe round the bathroom
Put the rubbish out.
Go to the supermarket to get some odd bits seeing as there is no food in the house
Mop the place
Flop
Feel sick [/STRIKE]
Also achieved...
A hot bath
A lie down but no sleep. Am soooo tired but cant sleep.
Right before i get comfy in bed (crawled into it after my bath, to write this.) i must go make everyones christmas presents as if i dont do them now they wont be ready. (making truffles, got all the bits, just no will power, kick please!)
Got to go into work tomorrow as the boss has demanded some work before Christmas. Might go do an hr or so and then come home. Wonder if i should have a medicinal drink?
See you laters and sending a standoffish hug to all those that want one, without getting tonsilwotsit,
Axxx

That the kids don't have as many/exciting presents as previous years.
That the kids won't enjoy Christmas
I have no idea what to cook at anytime other then Christmas lunch
I have not done a food shop
I have presents to wrap
I have cards to write.
When I get stressed it sets my IBS off and then I start to worry that I have cancer and that this is my last Christmas.....does that give you a starting point?
Right...
I haven't finished buying presents either.. and I have 8 to buy for!!
Children don't NEED presents.. christmas is about being with the people that you love and who love you!!!... watch The Grinch!!
If the children have chocolate and can stuff themselves with junk food.. they'll have a fabulous time!
Food wise... don't cook.. they can fend for themselves and eat cake & toast..
The food shop will happen when you have time.. arrange a time in your head to go do it and stop fretting
I have 4 boxes of presents.. I thought it was 3.. but it isn't!!
F**k the cards.. save a tree!
IBS is exactly that... a pain in the @rse! .. you'll get piles if you set that off!!
As for having cancer.. well.. when the Big 'G' calls your number and the Reaper comes collecting you don't have any choice.. make the most of the time you have here and look at the wonderful things and people you have in your life.. they are reason enough to stay alive and fight whatever comes your way... Be thankful for every day and live it as if it were your last.. you are more likely to be killed in a road accident anyway..
(((((((hugs)))))))))
Deep breathes... in... out... in... out... ..
My life motto...
Don't worry about things you cannot change.. you can't change them
Don't worry about the things you can change.. just go change them!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
