HSBC CIFAS

If you have a 'misuse of facility' CIFAS marker then yes, this is visible to other banks and so you should expect them to be closing accounts if they haven't already.Standingstrong said:
They was not delivered at all.. the vendor must of disagreed and said something to HSBC for them to block my account for 3 weeks then unblock it and then review it again for 2-3 months then close it and add me onto the CIFAS database …eskbanker said:
Those sound like two different reasons - were the goods delivered late or not at all? The fact that you resorted to chargeback would presumably suggest that the vendor disagreed, so there were presumably at least two sides to the story (vendor, customer, perhaps courier), even if you got your money back?Standingstrong said:
Non recieved goods. And the grounds of late deliveryeskbanker said:
If it's agreed that it was incorrectly applied then yes, it should be reversed. What was the story with the chargeback, i.e. on what grounds were you charging a transaction back?Standingstrong said:
One chargeback and that’s about it really…eskbanker said:The dates don't align with what you'd originally posted (May 2021), but it's not clear to me why a marker registered in February 2021 would suddenly start impacting your accounts 18 months later. Anyway, that registered date should lead you towards activity on your HSBC account immediately prior to that - were there any refunds of anything showing on your statements around then? Anything out of the ordinary, dealing with new companies or individuals, unusual transactions, chargebacks, claims, complaints, etc?
will i get this removed
£500
i can prove that I was not doing refund fraud at all.
and I think this is the reason why all my accounts are now playing up.
Have you submitted a subject access request to HSBC yet? It sounds like you need as much information as you can get your hands on if you want to stand any chance of challenging the marker - presumably the vendor provided enough information to HSBC to convince them that your claim was unjustified, but it would be more normal for them to do so via simply disputing the chargeback, so it's still not 100% clear why HSBC would have seen this as reason to close the account and add the marker.
It still feels like there's more of the story to emerge though - until now you didn't mention HSBC blocking and closing an account at the time, which seems unlikely to be a coincidence....4
