You'd need to ask HSBC, via a subject access request if necessary, what that related to....2

How would I go by doing that….eskbanker said:You'd need to ask HSBC, via a subject access request if necessary, what that related to....I’m willing to pay for the report.0 -
No payment needed - if you're still a customer of theirs then contact their customer services team via one of their published 'contact us' channels, or if you're not (or need to escalate) then their privacy policy will explain how to exercise your rights under the Data Protection Act to obtain a copy of all personal data they hold about you.Standingstrong said:

....which reiterates the above advice to start by contacting the institution that placed the marker (and also states that the DSAR report explains this process):grumbler said:Disputing information held about you
If you have received the results of a data subject access request and would like to dispute the information Cifas holds, you should follow the steps outlined below (this information will also be included in your DSAR report).
Please note – Cifas will be unable to progress your request until you have completed the process outlined in steps 1 and 2.
Step 1
First you must contact the organisation/s that registered the warning and follow their complaints procedure. If they uphold your complaint, they can remove your details from our system.

Well here’s a start I put a complaint in via Twitter and over telephone. And I’ve contacted a CIFAS solicitor…
hsbc says that they’re looking into it.
but I have not done no refund fraud so I don’t know what rights they have to put that over my name 1 year ago!!!0 -

If the first post was an unedited copy/paste of your CIFAS data, where does the reference to refund fraud come from?Standingstrong said:hsbc says that they’re looking into it.
