Well if that's the reason then that's ridiculous. I'm not calling to boycott. I've had a negative experience of a product. So what, are we only allowed to discuss positive things now & pretend we live in a fluffy airy fairy world? Oh well, moving on

Normal Castle got it, though strange he can say it in a post but I can't say it in a thread title.

plumb - sealed unit. Non-replaceable batteries.
Fixed the title for you. You actually wrote !!!!!! rather than Fireangel. No idea why that was censored, but it presumably now says what you wanted it to...
Angel fire (one word) is censored!

Although, you might have an intermittent fire.

Like the alleged tale of the box of cigars insured against fire and then claimed for after the whole box had been destroyed through a sequence of small and contained fires.

If they are non replaceable battery type they should have a expiry date on them, if it’s passed you’ll have to replace them. If not phone fireangel up and they should replace them foc

    I did?

Oops. That was silly lol. Worst part is I even looked at the smoke detector before I came & made this thread so that I got the name right. Haha.

    Thanks for the fix.

I'm a devout anarchist so can't be censored.

These are £14.99 with a 10 year battery so in theory £1.49 per year. Is there a date on your alarms?

In the UK, most Fire Rescue Services offer a free home fire safety check, I had one and it was they (not just one but three gorgeous firemen!) who fitted our two smoke alarms. You could contact your local Fire Service and ask for the same. We didn't have to pay for the alarms, either. But don't tell everyone! I believe you can apply online, so it couldn't be easier.
What waste of rate payers money, sending 3 men to fit smoke detectors, not to mention the cost of the appliance they drove in.
Yes this free service has been around for a few years, and abused by those who can afford to replace/fit there own. Someone disabled or on low income then that’s fine.
But sending 3 people is telling me there overstaffed, we’ve had them in our cul de sac blocking it with there appliance. No need when they have small vehicles galore.

I fitted the 10yr battery type in several rentals, and they never lasted close to that. Now I just use std battery jobs, and fit a £2 simply Duracell about every 3 years.

I had the same issue with this product. Have two in the house and they are both inter linked or whatever it is. Then one started beeping when it felt like it, setting the other one off; so one beep downstairs followed by another upstairs! Did all the reset procedure as per the notes. It stopped, all fine then off it went again - sometimes in the middle of the night! Anyhow contacted the company for support, during covid it was and had a nightmare trying to talk to someone, short staffed to non existent staff and generally not really giving a carrot. I complained further as the product was barely a year old, finally they gave in and sent me new one, no letter of explain, no email repsonse but there you go. When they work they are great but when they beep for no reason, well...

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) sensors, whilst they do exist, are not a requirement in any residential property. On the other hand, Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarm can save lives if there is a faulty gas or solid fuel appliance.
