And its not last minute until the relatives are knocking on the door is it LouBlue? :rotfl:

Flaming disaster! :(:( The tiny solid eggs ok, heating tray was a great tip. Put them all together but my big eggs..... :( I think the edges were too thin, they wouldn't come out of the mould and just fell to pieces. I don't know whether if I had finished them all yesterday, it would have been better. Cos I couldn't finish them til today, they were in the fridge all night. :(

OH gone out to get Lindt Bunnies for the children now. :rotfl::rotfl:

Should have done a trial run...........

    chocolate in the base

The Tala metal tins have loose
bottoms in and are 4 inch diameter
    65p each

three pieces of fudge chopped up

again mini eggs from 99p shop

Oh! So many sad faces! :( I am sorry your big eggs didn't turn out LouBlue, you had the same problem as me I think. One of my bigger eggs came out OK but only after I'd bashed the mould many times onto the PG Tips Teabag Tin! The other half didn't survive that treatment tho' (understandably really!) so I think that was when I decided the way to go was 'solid' ... and Cadburys! :D

Lovely 'easterly' cakes Rosekitten, well done you. :T

I found that when doing my eggs I let the chocolate set at room temprature then do more layers.
To get out of the moulds I put them in the fridge for about 10 -20 mins and they just popped out easily.

I also found that taking the edged of the egg down to the level of the mould helps as it does not hang onto the mould.

    It does look scrumptious.

    Truly truly scrumptious.

    quackers thanks everyone seems
to have made that one their fave
one.Next year I intend to do more

these little tins are supposed to be mini
quiche tins but I thought once I got them
home they were too shallow, but they
seem perfect for for this .

    One disapointment the Cadbury`s eggs
I got all seemed to be strange colours
very dark in colour and not the same
pastel shades as the ones above on
my little tart.By the way they are
made by Walkers.I always buy the
Cadburys ones, but next year I will
look for a different brand as I was really
disapointed by the look of the Cadbury
ones,I will probably throw them in a
bowl and let the kids tuck into them
    tomorrow to use them up.
