I was shopping today in ASDA and seen some of these flexible trays in the freezer section (obviously for making ice cubes) they were in sea shell shapes (they may have other shapes). I should have bought some and taken a photo of them to show you all! They were very reasonable too! About 75p!!!!
Ok, not heart shaped, but might suit someone!

i bought one of these for making choc`s just before xmas, they worked really well, used a mixture of white and milk belgium choc and swirled it round inside the mould, they popped out really easily and were just as nice(nicer) as the expensive choc shells you can buy !!:TGoing it alone and feeling the pinch
CCJ £2,900(Reducing by £50 pm)0 -
I bought some moulds yesterday from one fo the sites mentioned, they were on 342, Can't wait to get making some now but have no hampers needed until April so I will just have to wait. I will be ready though!!!

I was in Tesco last night looking for a bar of Galaxy, as you do, and saw their "posh" chocolate slabs, very small and one looking remarkably like Quacker's one with the Goji on top and it was £2
I also spotted a silicon double ice tray for £2 similar to the one Emma posted a pic of earlier, but bigger, which will make square shaped chocolates0 -
I bought 3 ice cube trays from Ikea - hearts, stars and bottles.
However when I got home I noticed they had 'for water only' printed on them and now I am nervous to use them!!!Dream of being mortgage free....

My heart one is from Ikea that I made the heart shaped chocs in
It was fine.
If you are nervous you could always just do 2 or 3 in one tray first as a test run?
I'm sure they'll be fine thoughSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration! DS2 (13) was bemoaning the fact that you can't get a smarties chocolate bar anymore and that it is his favourite......then I saw this thread!!
It is his birthday in a few weeks, so I have experimented today, simply melted an ASDA smartprice choc bar and stirred in some smarties - poured into a heart ice cube tray and am now awaiting the results.
...Of course I'll have to eat these ones...research and all that!!0 -
