It isn’t much of a partnership if you are sticking to mine and your’s. If you are in a long term relationship it should be our’s.8

Put it in your household budget. Make your lunch, it will be cheaper.1

Are you sure it is your 'partner' you are living with?

Well if you feel happy stuffing your face with your expensive lunches totalling £200 per month instead of pooling the allowance with your partner for the benefit of you both, carry on! But for the fact you even have to pose the question just makes me feel glad I’M not your partner.

I’m in a marriage , a commitment to each other, I wouldn’t dream of keeping some income “ to myself”
Do you prepare a spreadsheet of who owes who what , sitting up in bed?
Get a life!
of course all these moral dilemmas are hypothetical, dreamed up for a laugh after a particularly long liquid lunch at MSE Towers ( I hope no one really thinks they have this dilemma )
I look forward to them every week , and laugh at the “ dilemmas” and some of the pompous responses
Thanks very much, looking forward to next week, unless MSE “ Nice Police” include me out4 -
Yes! You should absolutely split this benefit with the person who supported you in tougher times!! How is this even a question?! 🤷🏼♀️3

If you are worried about sharing this perk with the partner you are living with - I suggest you are living with the wrong person.3

I think that instead of inviting these ridiculous and pointless 'dilemmas', mse should just give people the information as to how they can join the forum and put their question themselves. It would soon weed out the nonsense.4

Partner or flatmate?
So many questions on here are about who pays for what!
If you are in a committed relationship it really shouldn't matter who pays for what. It should be shared money. You share everything else don't you?
If you have children does it really matter who will pay for their clothes and food?
If these type of questions are really issues then we live in a very sad world.1 -
£200 pm = £2400pa.
If my partner won that amount on The Lottery/Bingo/on the horses and decided to conceal the fact, or spend it all on themselves, I'd seriously question the future of our "relationship".......RED FLAG IMMEDIATEDLY!!!0
