No problems here, have you tried rebooting your modem?0

How do I rebooting my modem?
It is pluggeg in a USB socket on computer.0 -
Just remove the power supply cable from the modem, and leave it out for about 30 seconds to one minute. Plug it back in again.
For your information, you would be better off using the ethernet option, if you have a network card in the back of your pc and use a straight though ethernet cable to link the modem and pc0 -
Saturday was awful, I did one of those broadband speed test thingys and eventually it informed me that the download speed was 39 kbps.
Sunday was even worse and after waiting half an hour for the speed test result, I gave up and logged off.
Today the speed is back, but as normal it keeps dropping out every 10 minutes or so.
I realy MUST overcome my inertia and change.0 -
2 weeks ago mine dropped off to the extent that it kept timing out on websites.
Rebooted to no avail.
Turned the modem off at the mains, as I do every day, and it came back fine the next day.0 -
I'm paying for the 8mb/s.
Thes best I've had in the last 3 months since I started monitoring it regularly was 4016kb/s, and the worst (a week ago) was 718kb/s.
If I move, does anyone know if I can set up an auto forward on my email accounts?I can spell - but I can't type0 -
DA, you're better off getting an email account separate from your ISP. googlemail is exceptional, the new yahoo mail is pretty good. Let's just not mention hotmail....
I suspect you'll have a small period of time in which you can maintain your existing email account, but you'll most likely lose the account pretty quickly if you move.
Best plan is to open an account with gmail now, and migrate all your existing mail there now. Try googling for tutorials on importing all your mail to gmail.te audire non possum. musa sapientum fixa est in aure.0 -
virgin are notoriously bad for contention, think they quote 50:1 but mine is more like 100:1. they also block bittorrent traffic or limit your download speeds, the payoff for giving 'unlimited' download limits. usually saturdays the download speed is only 1mb instead of 4mb for me. PAC code requested and going to BT.;)0
