MSE News: Asda launches first-ever loyalty scheme offering discounts on groceries

I'd rather have ASDA low prices like before the APP came out. I noticed they have rolled back prices recently and will visit more often. Pack of oranges 96p and 2 salmon fillets £3 etc etc. This was after I scrolled through the pages of processed/junk food.0

It looks they are now using available to all Rollback at 5% off reduced prices. For instance Ginsters pasties are generally reduced to £1.25 plus Star Product 10%, now Rollback at £1.18, Muller yogurts usually on offer at £2.50 plus 10% SP, now Rollback at £2.38.

Absolutely agree xelsien said:Doesn't make any difference to me. I don't buy based on what is a star product and what isn't and there are probably only a couple of items that have counted in my shopping in all the time since the scheme started. I honestly can't see people stopping shopping there just because of this.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. The last few things I’ve bought that were star products didn’t track as such anyway - potentially they didn’t keep on top of up to date labelling, knowing that it would be winding down anyway.GlasgowExpat2 said:No more star products
Like others these were items that would have been bought anyway - and as is the golden rule with cashback, consider it a bonus as you may not get it.3 -
They were never on top of the labelling in my local. Weetabix 72 pack always had a star product label on it, the vast majority were never labelled at all. Perhaps they have decided that it was too much effort and labour cost, the new rollback is a single label change job.Kim_13 said:The last few things I’ve bought that were star products didn’t track as such anyway - potentially they didn’t keep on top of up to date labelling, knowing that it would be winding down anyway.

Mind you, with all the Rollback offers in January, it was very noticeable that the price of other regular products seemed to be unduly increased.
Unusually, I have never taken to their Loyalty Scheme card offering, so would not miss the star products offers anyway.butterfly )i(1 -
Which would explain why "Rollback" items are still expensive!butterflymum said:Mind you, with all the Rollback offers in January, it was very noticeable that the price of other regular products seemed to be unduly increased.

Asda has increased the staff discount from 10% to 15-20%. If that motivates the workforce it has to be a good thing. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0 -
Its only 15% on George, Opticians and Pharmacy at the moment they say they are going to introduce it on grocery sometime later. I have a lifetime card as I worked there for 25 years and retired. I used to get the 20% off when they had special events but have stopped it for lifetime cardholders now. Apparently the new announcement for 15% covers lifetime card holders, will have to wait and see if they get it on grocery tooRosa_Damascena said:

50p off a £40 spend? £1 every time I buy two magazines, £3 when I buy a crafting magazine.GlasgowExpat2 said:No more star products
Not exactly tempting me back.3 -
I have the same offers but it looks like I have to spend £100 to get 50p back as mine says £100 to go. Dont think I shall bother using it.pochisoldi said:
