I did this on 30 Sep and have reminder set for 14 Nov (45 days) to see if it has been added.  Fully expect to have to chase it like I had to on a previous offer?

Got mine as a refund today. Annoyingly missed out another £4 as it didn't register straight away. Looks like they have been making changes recently and this is why we have all been having problems. Hopefully sorted now.

Did it just appear in your cash pot?

I got a flash screen come up when I opened the app. When I closed that there was an entry in the cashpot called  Cashpot correction.

@MSE_Laura_F we didn't get the £5 bonus mentioned in the MSE article, despite moving 40£ in the Christmas Saver Cashpot by 3 Nov. Can you please clarify with ASDA? 

It says "could", doesn't it? So it was a guess based on previous years. 

Or could in the sense that is conditional on you saving 40£ in the pot

I certainly never had the offer on my app. Have you a screenshot of when it appeared on your actual app?

It wasn't in the app. I was just relying on Asda's pages complemented by the MSE page (it doesn't say the offer is conditional of being displayed in your app).

What was the benefit of transferring the balance into the Christmas Saver by the 3rd of November?
I can see Asda has recently changed the FAQ about the Christmas Saver Cashpot here https://www.asdagiftcards.com/christmas-savings and removed reference to the cash bonus - meaning that many have highlighted the issue

Transferring the balance to the Christmas saver Cashpot to reduce its validity to December 31st rather than the usual 6 months and without any extra benefit is a non sense

Of course there is mention of the Christmas saver Cashpot in the Christmas savings card page FAQ (I attach evidence). After 8th November they have just removed reference to the cash bonus once people started questioning why the bonus was not in the Christmas saver Cashpot

But no mention of the £5 so it’s a moot point. 

‘The link you posted a few posts up had no mention of the app, it was the physical card as I said? 

The underlined 3rd of November is just the cut off point, after that you can’t transfer to the Xmas cash pot . 

MSE are looking into it though
