  • Perhaps all those that transfered to the Shell Flexible 6 were then transfered in April to the Flexible April 22 Economy 7?

    Have just confirmed from reading older threads that others on the Shell Flexible 6 were transfered to the Flexible April 22 Economy 7 in April.

  • Shell Flexible April 22 Economy 7 tariff below with Ofcom caps in brackets:
    Gas - per unit: 7.367 {7.34}, s/c: 30.50 {27.22}
    Elec - per unit: 27.40 {29.24}, s/c: 41.34 {37.92}
    ...
    Anyone know how to report this to Ofgem I can't seem to find any way of contacting them.  Shell are clearly charging higher Service Charges under this tariff than are allowed by the Ofgem Price Cap.

    Ofgem do not accept complaints from individual members of the public.
    What did Shell say when you asked them?
    If Shell's reply was not satisfactory, you can make a complaint.
    If the complaint isn't resolved to your satisfaction within 8 weeks, you can then take your complaint to the Energy Ombudsman.

    So what is the point of them setting a price cap if they are not available to investigate issues where energy companies do not adhere to it, they are useless.

    Don't know have never managed to get through to them, they never answer the phone.  Perhaps the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

    If you share your bill I suspect all will become clear (take any personal info out)

    No need to scan the bill, here is the tariff for our region direct from the Shell Energy website:

    Quick fag packet calculation

    GAS

    12000 kWh @ 7.735p £928.20
    SC @ 32.03p £125.95

    Total for gas £1054.15

    ELECTRICITY

    2900 kWh elec 58% night 42% day split

    Night 1682kwh @19.772p £332.57
    Day 1218kwh @ 35.289p £429.82
    SC @ 43.41p £158.45

    Total for electricity £920.84

    Total £1974.99

    Pretty damn close to the price cap of £1971 so I wouldn't bother complaining
