  • Lets do this differently currently Shell are charging:
    Gas: 7.367, s/c: 30.50
    Elec day: 33.617, night: 18.830, s/c: 41.34
    These figures are net can anyone confirm that they are correct and in-line with the Ofgem price cap.

    You sure they are net prices? Gas looks like including VAT.

    From the gas price I would say this is the Midlands gas price including VAT.

    Unfortunately each supplier has different E7 rates, so the above EDF table will not help you.

    Gas standing charge does not match any region on direct debit payment.

    Seems to me they are not sticking to the Ofgem price cap.  Shell Flexible April 22 Economy 7 tariff below with Ofcom caps in brackets:
    Gas - per unit: 7.367 {7.34}, s/c: 30.50 {27.22}
    Elec - per unit: 27.40 {29.24}, s/c: 41.34 {37.92}
    All prices net.  Shell Energy electricity calculated using the Ofgem ratio of 58% day x 33.617 + 42% night x 18.830.

    Yes, they are.
    Shell's old tariffs aren't the easiest to dig out but you can find them at imageassets.shellenergy.co.uk if you're lucky.
    Link doesn't work.
    That's because it isn't a link.

    I don't know your region, but in my region "Flexible April 2022 Economy 7" has different rates to "Flexible 7 Economy 7".
    Flexible 7 is the Ofgem price-capped DD tariff.
    How did you end up on the April 2022 version, rather than Flexible 7?

    No idea just know that is what is says on the bill.  Perhaps related to being switched from Green Energy when they went bust.  Still question is how can Shell Energy charge more that the Ofgem price cap?

    You probably need to ask Shell. While you're at it you can ask to switch to the cheaper variable tariff. Whether they let you switch, and whay reason they give if they say no, should be informative.

    Do we know what tariff all the Green Supplier customers transfered to when they were moved to Shell Energy?

    Shell Flexible 6, I think. There's a long thread (possibly more than one) from that time if you search for it.
    Here's the Flexible 6 E7 tariff information card for my region. You can get yours by entering your postcode and a couple more details here:

    Perhaps all those that transfered to the Shell Flexible 6 were then transfered in April to the Flexible April 22 Economy 7?
