Universal credit statement help

Hi, hoping someone can clear up what I'm going through with universal credit at the moment.
I left my previous employer at the end of June 22 and received my last full pay on the 1st of July, I signed up to universal credit on the 9th of July and so the universal credit statement ran from the 9th of July to the 8th of August. I was supposed to be paid a small amount of pay from my previous employer on the 29th of July but as I owed them holidays I received no pay at all. I received my universal credit statement on the 9th of August and it said I'm due to £0 on the next pay date as my employer reported I earned £752 from them in the universal credit assessment dates of 9th july-8th August. I haven't received a single penny from my old employer since my 1st of July payment. Staff at universal credit have ran a PAYE check and it says it was reported I was paid when I wasn't. Am I missing something here? I'm worried as I won't receive a full pay from my new employer until late September due to the way their pay cut offs work. My next pay at the end of August will only be around £220.

Is that amount what you would have been paid had you not owed it back to your employers? If so then I would think this was correct as you were paid the money but owed it back. Had they not taken it into account it would be just like you getting extra holidays and Uc still paying you as well. I imagine Uc would take the figure you earned before you paid back your employers for the holiday you had already taken.Chrome020 said:Hi, hoping someone can clear up what I'm going through with universal credit at the moment.

Thanks for your reply, this is all over my head so sorry if what I put is wrong.
My 1st July pay was £772.
My 29th July pay was supposed to be £112 then they added an overpayment net of 20.50 (not sure what that even is) and then they took the £132.50 back off me for holiday that I owed them, Guessing it because I didn't accrue the holidays I took in may at my time of leaving.
But head office are saying I earned £752 on my 29th pay, I just don't understand as my payslip just mentions the figures above.0 -
If £752 was reported to HMRC then that's the figure than DWP have used to calculate your UC for that assessment period. If you didn't receive that amount then you need to speak to your employer because it seems like they've made the error and not DWP.

Have you checked your Personal Tax Account to see what has been reported?
It shows limited information from each payroll submission but might be of some use.0 -
Thank you for your reply, I contacted their payroll at their head office which UC asked me to do and they quoted I received £752 on my 29th July payslip, when the payslip I have says 0 money due.poppy12345 said:If £752 was reported to HMRC then that's the figure than DWP have used to calculate your UC for that assessment period. Thanyou for your reply, I have checked that and for the 29th of June (correction, I meant July) it says minus £20.50.Dazed_and_C0nfused said:Have you checked your Personal Tax Account to see what has been reported?

Do you mean 29th July, not June? Check you tax account as suggested by Dazed and confused.Chrome020 said:

I'd raise a RTI dispute with UC.

Thank you for your reply, I noticed at the bottom of the statement page on UC that I could appeal and have asked on the journal to appeal. Thank youAlice_Holt said:
