Blinds that fit into window frames without any drilling - any good?

With this recent hot weather our south facing kitchen with full length glass windows has become a heat furnace which is unbearable to live/work in. As we don't want to do any drilling into walls due to our lack of DIY experience I have seen a national blind company (H-----s) advertising blinds that fit into frames which clip into the rubber seals around the window glass. They sound as if they could be the solution to our problem, but has anybody had any experience with them? If they clip into the rubber seal could they cause the seal to perish which could affect the window??
Any advice would be appreciated from people who have had them fitted.

I've found these to be excellent... and an easy DIY job. The brackets are really slim and just slide in.

The blinds you have linked to really are good, we have them on a couple of french doors and because the blind moves with the door, you can open the doors without having to mess around raising/lowering or drawing back the blinds first

I have these on my patio doors and kitchen door and they are great.  No issues with the seals, I have had them for about 5 years now.

Blinds 2 go are owned by the same people as Hillarys. We have the perfect fit blinds on a pair of French doors and a half glazed utility room door, they work really well.

"I don't want to do any drilling because I've no experience" is just not (imo) the right attitude.

Get a mate or relative to help. Learn. Be able to do it alone next time. Maybe even just back yourself to be able to do something new.  The alternative is to continue to have no experience.
  • We have perfect fit blinds in the bathroom. We really like them, as you can open the windows and the blinds move with them. No issues. We did have them professionally measured and fitted, so they were quite expensive.  If you DIY I believe very accurate measuring is vital.

Thanks for opening a useful thread!
I had Hillarys around a few months ago and their prices were way to high for me.

A local independent company will probably be a cheaper option.
