Submitting a buying offer by video

So over the last year or so I've looked at some YouTube videos from a mortgage broker/influencer by the name of Alex Kerr.
One of the tips I've seen appear a few times on his channel is to submit an offer with a video. So basically this would entail not just sending the agent an email with your offer number but also including a video that would maybe introduce yourself, state your current situation, why you like their property and why you are making the offer.
Do people think this is a good idea? Or, has anyone here done this or received offers like this in the past? If you were going to do this what detail would you include? And are agents agreeable to doing this?
Any help is appreciated with this question, thanks in advance.

Err...not sure I'd be swayed, but I would forward it to everyone I know on WhatsApp.I don't know, maybe in a year or two this will be commonplace, but I'm a grumpy old git! I hope you get the house.9

I think I'd find this a bit odd. I think an email with all the info would more professional.

I would have thought the agent would have asked all about you when you arranged the viewing…If you will the end, you must will the means.2

There is a healthy degree of anonymity with an initial offer made through the traditional EA route. In reality people are very judgemental and I'm absolutely sure that a video presentation would immediately have a percentage of buyers ruled out by the vendors, who are not impressed by what they see. Just a personal view based on human behaviour. I would wait until the offer is accepted and progress is being made before I revealed how awful I was.8

Another gammon here who remembers the line in Monty Python's 'Blackmail' game show spoof which went something like, "We don't care what you've done, nor will we morally censure you; we just want your money!"I'm sure you'd be very professional, but imagine if everyone did this and the truly cringeworthy performances that might result, especially if it went to best and final.4

If they want any information to back up your offer, they'll ask you about it. So it's much easier just to pick up the phone and talk at them - they won't want to spend their time watching your video which probably doesn't tell them what they're interested in.
(and "influencer"? I've had more YouTube hits with videos of my cat...)4 -
Offers should be getting easier to make not harder.I’m still a bit unsure of strike as an estate agent but making an offer through then was easy. It had the amount to put in and a drop down box for which buyer you were (first time, cash etc.) and a box for your current situation (mortgage agreed, in principle) and it went direct to seller.Put the offer in just before I went into tescos for the weekly shop and it had been accepted by the time I had my self scanner2

I'd just laugh and think !!!!!! and then turn down your offer as your trying too hard and bound to go much higher...2

I hope it really takes off, and someone collates them into a website like that "awful real estate photos" or whatever it's called!

Personally as a seller I don't really want to be emotionally involved with the buyers. It's a business transaction where I want to sell as quickly as possible for as much as possible.
If I got a video offer I would probably think I was dealing with some influencer who would put up videos every step of the process.
Personally I'm an ugly old !!!!!!, I would let stability, money and speed of purchase do the talking, never failed me yet.3
