Aw Jazee…sad news
in bed because I’m shattered…and I’m starting a headache.
I’ve missed a WA and (today) a birthday. I’ve apologised re the WA. I shall write to my friend and apologise and explain. It had to happen…I’ve so much on.

Jazee so sorry to hear about Littleydog, so hard. Hugs.
ASB Late replying as we've been away, but Isle of Man is lovely. Having said that, I've only been once many years ago for the TT race so a lot of time was spent standing by the road in an oversuit.......however there are a lot of pretty places there; Glen Helen I recall as being one of them.
Hugs and spoons etc as needed, I haven't kept up while we've been away.
Got back home last night via dropping off my mum (Stratford-upon-Avon to Bournemouth, short rest then back up to Herts/Essex border), bit of a marathon but we figured as it was due to be hotter today, we were best doing the whole stretch.
Today has therefore been unpacking, washing, putting away, watering dehydrated plants etc.
Went to drumming lesson.
Went for a lake swim.
Spent ages trying to get through to credit card provider to sort out a payment issue with the guest house we were staying at - too tedious and long to detail but the outcome looks promising i.e. we won't end up paying twice.......why do cc help lines prefer you to 'chat' from an app located on a small phone where typing is tricky?
Wrote 'thank you' letters to the two hosts whose lunch party we went to on Sunday.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -

A quick photo that was literally taken 10 mins before my SW club tonight and the finals of Women of the Year 2022. I'm wearing my favourite vintage dressUnfortunately I didn't win, although the award went to a well deserved winner. But I did get a certificate and written on the back was what people, who nominated me had written. I nearly burst into tears when I read it..lolMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Thanks for all your comments. Lovely photos.
In the wide awake club again so I'm going to sort some admin as it's a quiet job that won't wake DH.
I think my master plan is kind of fixed now, will be heavily reliant on these fly lady lists and ensure there is enough downtime for hobbies and also to take advantage of any opportunities or days out etc that come our way.

More (((hugs))) to Jazee. I do hope that you got some sleep. That sounds like the right sort of master plan x
Enjoy being nine, beautiful Pixie! x Hope you begin to feel better today, pigpen x
Natty, you look great - that dress is lovely, and I'm sure you deserved every one of those nice comments x
I slept a bit later than usual (didn't wake up until after sunrise) and DH also had a better night - he got strong ABs from the Dr yesterday for his chest infection and they already seem to have warded off the possibility of needing to make a 999 call
So far today I have
- watered the pots in the back garden
- put a cream top back in to soak, as a rather obvious tomato stain had not come out in yesterday's wash
- emptied the DW
- plumped the sofa cushions
- made a cuppa
- tracked down my mobile
- found four birthday presents to wrap up, together with suitable (recycled) packaging for the two that have to be posted later today
- thought of at least 6 more things to add to my medium-term list.
My other aspirations for today include
- continue obeying horse piddle instructions to do only light work, therefore...
- ...ask my gardener to move three pots round and plant out the strawberry plants in the big trugs
- start a big food shopping list, as the fridge is beginning to look empty, but remember that I need to use up the frozen meat before buying any more
- pay the gardener and DS1
- make a couple of phonecalls / send some emails
- tidy up a few more ancestors (I tracked down a couple more yesterday)
- Rosie's walk
- take DH out this evening to meet some animals, if he feels up to it
- accept DH's offer of a curry night out tomorrow, if he still feels up to it (he has a voucher, so very MSE)
That's more than enough for today8 -
I'm being naughty like Round and logging in from work. Really annoyed as a colleague has handed a problem to me to sort which is clearly theirs to do. Also they emailed me on Monday which I don't work, so I'll have a very disgruntled client to deal with later. And it took nearly an hour to connect.
Anyhow, yes I did go back to bed and got a couple of hours sleep.Since getting up, I am showered and dressed, have walked Poppet and between us DH and I have moved a couple of pictures around on the walls and put a couple of unwanted items on line. Second wash load is in machine.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
