Evening
Dailies and wm x 1 here today. I’ve finished work on time and am heading out for a swim. Tuna pasta salad already prepped for supper and I am thanking my past self for being organised. When I come back I intend (or aspire to) HHI before sitting down.Kaz, I am in awe of your walking and weight loss. You’ve shared steps done, can you share how far / how long you walk for on each day?I stepped on the scales this morning, a few pounds back on but not actually as bad as I feared. Back I go though to SW on Thursday to get myself properly back on to mission slinky.
hugs to all etc x8 -
Batcat18, I aim for 11,000 steps per day to keep me on target, but recently have been doing between 11,000 to 13,00 per day which is approx 4 to 6 miles per day. Time wise it takes me about 1.5 hours to 2 hours, depending on the type of ground I am walking on. I am using strava app to my phone the foc version, it logs it all down for me.Today for example the tide was in, so it was over flint rocks all the way, it takes me longer. Also to stop me cheating and taking short cuts, once I am on the beach there is no way off it, until the next slip way about 2 miles away
so I have to keep going.
But now the fat has gone the last 8 to 10 lbs is going to be hard.............My diabetic nurse and I are discussing the 800 calorie diet for type 2's.Thank you for asking. it is a long slow process, slow and steady.Weeding doneCats combedMore rodents removed.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Evening all.
I have had a lovely afternoon with DD and DGD2, lots of walking and tea and cake at a garden centre. Therefore my master plan is still in my head where I fear it will stay until next week as I'm back to paid stuff tomorrow.
Duster on a stick has been flicked round our bedroom and the sofa throws and cushion covers have been changed.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Much love Valli x
In fact much love to you all, life is not always easy but you lot make me smile.
So .. paid stuff done, took the car because it was wet and windy first thing. Washing out when I got home and need to bring it in soon because it looks like rain. I have a late start tomorrow and a tricky meeting so will fly a little before I go in but the house is not too bad.
I have checked in with the boys and all seems well.9 -
Thanks kaz for the info, I have more to lose than you had and realistically can’t do a 2 hour stint on a week day ( plus you have such a beautiful area to walk in!) but rather than focus on what I can’t do let’s focus on what I can. 30mins walking each day is definitely achievable and I can build up from there. Going to start that tomorrow!
on the flying front, HHI done, quick vac of kitchen and utility and a swish of downstairs loo. Going to sit and read now while DH is out at the gym x9 -
DW on, everyone fed and watered and ready for bed. 2x WM. Dry stuff from the line folded and brought in
DS2 collected Squeak while I reported Three to the ombudsman.. Fortunately they relented and binned the account I never took out.. that will look better on my credit file..

The best news. Tumour removed ‘with a healthy margin’ and lymph nodes…some weren’t good but there will be yearly mammograms and follow up appts in years 3 and 5…optimistic or what. I am to be referred to oncology now for chemo and radio and I will take a hormone suppressant for 5 years.Still can’t shower but hey…
back for dressings check on Friday.living room and hallway cleared. New (to me) tv stand has replaced the one we got from the aged ps which was for a crt tv really anyway. New one was NDNs as they’ve had new stuff. I only went in to admire their decorated walls! This one is wider so tv doesn’t hang off it.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Not a great deal of flying by me today. Mr N did quite a bit.
Gym swim.
Did private assessment.
Downloaded books for hols onto kindle.
Messaged neighbour to say we will be away.
Changed delivery date of a parcel set to arrive the day we go away.
Picked a load of blueberries and a few beans.
Did more piling of clothes for few days away - I'm too laid back (lazy) about this and watched Commonwealth Games for much of the evening. In my defence, we aren't going away for many days and we don't need a big range of clothes. Toiletries packed. List of 'miscellaneous' packed i.e. device chargers, GF bread, own tea/coffee bags, tickets for theatre on Fri eve, invitation for family lunch (Sun) as it has the address on, Marmite cos I bought some last time I was at Mum's because I'd finished off hers and promptly left it in my bag so brought it home. I've got a list of places/postcodes we are either visiting or as possible journey breaks.
Tomorrow is an early start. It is Mr N's birthday (have put my presents for him under the bed, ready). He is managing to fit in his gym class before we join another friend and their family on a local boat trip (11am). This means I need to go into town with him and start writing up my report from the gym cafe so we can make a hasty getaway to the boat after his class and shower. My clothes are ready and out; my laptop etc are ready to grab. In theory I'm booked into zumba at 7.15 but by then I may well be panicking as to how much more I need to do before we set off on Thursday am.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
