PCN code not recognised. I can't pay, or see their evidence. They now want a cheque or postal order
Case 1:
Basically, I paid for a Pay and Display ticket but the machine didn't dispense anything. I called the land management company and had to leave a message. I told them my reg number, the amount paid and that I would leave a note on my dashboard. I've done this with the carpark over the road and it's been fine. It was a foolish error, but I didn't want to pay twice.
When I returned, I had a PCN stuck on my car. I called them again and the gentleman on the phone told me that I have to "reach inside the machine for a ticket". I said that I had tried everything. I then mentioned that I had left a message, outlining what I had paid and my reg. His response was "You need to make sure we answer the phone." I couldn't resolve the matter with them at all.
I have since received a reminder to pay them £100. I already have a live case with their solicitor (outlined below) and I am already medicated for anxiety and depression, so I just decided to pay it. When I went to pay online, my PCN code wasn't recognised. The same happened when I tried their phone service. This means that I can't pay and that I can't see the evidence they have.
I called them again, to tell them this, and their response was that I need to send a cheque or Postal Order.
Case 2:
I paid and displayed a ticket and returned well within the specified time, by at least three hours. I still have the ticket. When I returned to my car, I found a PCN. When I bumped into the land owner (who I can't get hold of now) he said not to worry about it. This one has now gone to a solicitor, who want £170. I have evidence showing that I filed a Pre-Action Protocol form and evidence that they sent a threatening email a week later, because I haven't filed a PAP. When I called them, they confirmed that I hadn't filed a PAP. When I said that I have their email receipt of the PAP, they told me to send it again, to their Enquiries email address. I did that and it's been rejected. I now have a few days before it goes to court, apparently.
As I have said, I am already under the doctor for anxiety and depression. This, as trivial as it seems, is sinking me. I'm one step away from paying a solicitor more than they want, just to get them off my back. It feels utterly unfair, as I paid on both occasions.
I've tried to log complaints with their regulator, who have told me they only deal with appeals.
It's getting a bit Kafka-esque now, so I need some help.

Honestly let them both go to a court claim then use our template defence.
Nothing scary about it and no CCJ risk, no big deal at all as long as you come here when the claims arrive, and adapt our defence (takes half an hour).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Please tell us which parking company and which so called legal ??
DO NOT pay out money for a real solicitor ... all the help you want is here and it's free.
You do not owe £170, that is just one of the rogue legals adding a fake mount which they cannot explain

OP, have you based your forum username on your real name? If so, you may want to get your forum username changed to something completely anonymous.
To help with that, have a read of this item from the Forum's FAQs:Can I change my username?
In most circumstances, we don't allow this.
The only reason we will change your username is if it puts your privacy at risk e.g. you've inadvertently registered using your name, email address or something which gives away your identity within your username.
If you fall into this category, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com your current username, the email address you registered with and three alternative usernames in order of preference.

Case 2: I've just sent another appeal and they are now telling to to refer to their debt recovery agent. It hasn't even gone to a debt recovery yet. It will, though, because I couldn't even pay if I wanted to. How bizarre.0

"I've tried to log complaints with their regulator, who have told me they only deal with appeals"There is no regulator this is an unregulated industry and this lot are members of the IPC whose appeals body the IAS (who I assume you mean) are just in on the scam anyway.4

What you can do - to try to cancel - is send both debt collectors proof of the below (your mental health issue) and tell them you are not offering any payment at all and this is breaking you, so you ask them to cancel this and leave you alone:I am already under the doctor for anxiety and depression. This, as trivial as it seems, is sinking me.
One of them might cancel. Worth an email attaching some proof of diagnosis. AND you can ask your local MP to support your complaints
DO NOT SPEAK TO THEM ON THE PHONE EVEN IF THEY TELL YOU TO.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yeah I'm going to call for a repeat prescription and ask them to make a note that I am increasing my dose, due to PCN stress. It's the absolute truth. I did intend to come off them this summer
Thanks.2
