Perhaps the OP should contact DVLA for details of which entities they have given the RK's data to.

Thank you guys so much for all your input, it really is much appreciated.

What do you suggest my next steps moving forward should be? Contact the DVLA as suggested by 1505grandad?  Or just sit tight and see what the postman brings in the coming weeks?

I'd go with @1505grandad's advice. The DVLA can take a little while to respond (up to 4 weeks, but actually around 10 days in many cases), so getting the ball rolling now is sound advice.

    DVLA SUBJECT ACCESS REQUESTS

You should email the DVLA and ask which organisations (when and for what reason) accessed the registered keeper's data from them between a range of dates which includes the date(s) of the parking incident(s). You need to provide the registered keeper's full name and address, the address on the V5C logbook and the Vehicle Registration Mark of the vehicle involved in the parking incident.

    SubjectAccess.Requests@dvla.gov.uk

This service is free of charge.

Even though you email your request, the DVLA will respond via Royal Mail.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hi guys, I have had a ‘Legal Action Letter’ through this morning. Charges are now totalling £480 (I know this is just a number but it’s still frightening :/ ) Just want to triple check that I continue to ignore these and wait for a court letter?

The clue is in the right hand side of the letter where it offers you 14 days to pay, this is not a proper letter before/of claim.

I have had a response from the DVLA in regards to a subject access request as recommended by you guys. This is their
    response:

  • Hi there everyone - just wanted to see if anyone had any advice regarding my last message?

I received the SAR a couple weeks ago and just wanted to see if anyone recommends I do anything further?

Thanks so much in advance! :)

Wait for any possible court claim
  • Wait for a Letter Before Claim then follow the Newbies thread including send the PPC a SAR. Then wait some more for court claim.
