Innocent Smoothies and Sainsbury's have teemed up to raise money to 'keep our old folks warm this winter' they are asking for wooly hats for Innocent Smoothie bottles and for every bottle with a hat sold in sainsburys 50p will go to age concern.
the hats are small so take very little time and on their website (below) they have 3 different styles from basic/new knitter to 'experienced'

Hi, I know this is an oldish thread but I just discovered it. I've been looking for charities I can knit for (I think my family are getting a bit fed up of some of the things I make them)
So far I have the below list of possibilities:

Hope that helps.

My local wool shop is closing down and she has offered me wool to be used for charity I have spoke to one of the women at our church who organises humanitarian aid and she said that yes the wool can be used. Great no problem there BUT I have the feeling it will be a large ammount of wool, she gave me 150 balls last week alone! Where do I go in my local area to offer what we can't use, there is a limit as to how much wool I can store as my stash is huge anyway. I'm sure we can use lots but if there is wool to spare could I contact my local hospice? I would like it to be taken where it is needed not just wanted.
Hiya, Williams mum finds knitting helps destress her (William is in 4 and has been in hospital since October having a bowel transplant), his sister also likes to knit and im sure they would love to get some wool in the post http://www.postpals.co.uk/pals/William+MBest wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

Your local maternity unit will probably be grateful for knitted hats, cardigans, boottees for the Labour Ward and Special Care Baby Unit.
I work on Labour Ward and we never have enough small hats for premature babies. We also need hats for full term babies. My local slimming club members knit for my unit to keep their hands busy! We also have other groups that knit for us.0 -
