I'm honestly sick and tired of dealing with them using my home as a rubbish bin. I've opted out multiple times, I have repeatedly complained to them, I have put notices on my door, I've done everything except tape up my letterbox.
I know that's how they make a lot of money, but I am not their dumping ground!!!
Why do I have to keep dealing with their trash???

I need them to STOP.

From what you've said you have opted out here How do I opt out of receiving any leaflets or unaddressed promotional material? (royalmail.com)

Therefore if you have complained then not sure what further action would happen, Ofcom suggest dispute resolution once deadlock is reached for Royal Mail complaints, but that probably isn't relevant here Royal Mail - Ofcom

The only other advice from Ofcom leads back to the above link Advice for consumers - Ofcom

It might help to chat to the postie who is delivering to you, if you have the same person most of the time they might listen and not deliver the bulk mail to you if asked.

But avoid the emotive language, they are not dumping anything, they are delivering what they are paid to do. The sender whoever it might be doesn't think of their flyer being trash.

Recycling bin for mine as well. I am extremely fortunate in that the place that I open the mail is right beside my recycling bin so I don't even have to go to the effort of waking a few paces to dump them. If only I could get my partner to open the door to the recycling bin for me it would be even less effort.

My bin is beside the front door so I don't even need to  bring it in the house.

I walk with 2 sticks so it's difficult to carry much to our communal bins. I don't get a lot of unsolicited junk mail but it all adds up especially when I get 6 of the same thing through the door. (I'm on the ground floor of a block of 6 flats...)

We very rarely get anything to be honest, just the odd takeaway menu which are not RM anyway, but it's no problem to put it in the recycling bin.

I think a lot of people are missing the point. It might not be a problem, if I had not specifically told them numerous times to stop. At this point,  I am being disrespected and even the small amount of work to deal with it is too much for me to abide. This is not a minor inconvenience for me, it is an aggravation and a reminder that they do not respect me.
It is also a reminder that even if these are made from recycled paper, it still uses other resources such as energy, which is damaging our environment. (the original reason I told them to stop).

I don't think anyone should be blasé about this kind of thing because we're talking about a company casually disrespecting people on a regular basis. As a nation, how are we all okay with this kind of behaviour? We are all way too complacent.

Anyway thanks for the links up at the top. I resent having to go to so much additional energy even when I've pursued this multiple times in the past and am way too busy with other things, but it is emotionally draining to NOT pursue it. I must say,  I never contacted ofcom before... Its drawn out so it's effort to get reference numbers etc. I can't remember how many times I've contacted the sorting office or RM customer service or mail preference service they always promise to reprimand one person or other and ensure no more junk arrives, etc. Then I have to wait to see if it worked.

    *Sigh* it's exhausting.

MPS is nothing to do with D2D opt out.
You havent explicitly confirmed you opted out via the website? (which lasts 2 years)
Many folks believe opting out is simply saying you dont want them.
FYI Given your environmental concerns. the leaflets will still be made regardless of opt out.

    Yes,
I opted out using all possible channels.
They absolutely have me on their system as a person who has expressly told them via their own procedure and convoluted form filling, that I want them to stop putting d2d or whatever it is through my door into my home.

And to the others, yes it is disrespectful, since I have jumped through all the multiple hoops to tell them and opt out and they have decided not to pay attention. That is not respecting my instructions to them. It is disrespect, literally.
