How even are your electric and gas use over the year? Up to now a lot of it has been estimated so it's hard to tell exactly - Maybe 4 readings a year. From what I can see, the gas is a lot more from Oct - March.
    What temperature are the room thermostats set to?  Day and night? 6am - 8am 19dc. Daytime 16dc. 4pm - 10pm 19dc
What month did you turn your heating off for the summer? Turned all the radiators off in April. Only got around to switching CH off at boiler about a month ago.

Taking notes/meter readings of your usage month by month will bring down your usage to a new low point, what that will be depends on how much info you learn from your smart reader. You can then compare year on year usage and see if it's where it should be, this will also give you future projections on costs.

I'd say change the 10-6am temperature to 14c as you'll be in bed sleeping, this will reduce the time the boilers are kicking in during the night.

As I said before if everyone is out the house for the day or a good number of hours turning the boiler's off so they don't kick in is going to save on your usage.

I'm guessing your heating wouldn't have kicked infor a month or two if you only recently turned it off, as the warmth from the weather wouldn't have made the boiler kick in.
But in future get used to leaving the radiator valves and tuning the rads off from the boiler.

Boilers don't use the max rated continually, on combis only hot water would use the max if needed, In heating mode after the first 40m to an hr they modulate down, The manual says down to 1:6

I bet the aga would have used 30 to 40k did it have a pilot running all year? But having 2 boilers is not good either, Is the no way to link the piping to get rid of one? It would also mean being able to get rid off the second gas standing charge.

Normal Electric usage would be 6-10kwh, The 40l tank could use 3kwh, So the must be something else, Are you both at home all day 2 computers?

Photos of everything would be very useful.

No doubt the Aga was using a lot of gas, so it will be interesting to see what difference this year makes now we have got rid. The pilot was on all year. With all the old piping and size of house, I don't think one boiler would work, but i'll definitely look into it.
The water heater is made by Elektromet (German) I have found some info online which may be the right model which has annual electricity of 1467 Kwh.

My wife and I use laptops now and again in the evening, but not often and probably only a couple of charges a week. Daughters are under 6 so no computers.

That would be 4kwh a day then, but the standing loss on a tank if you don't use any water is around 1kwh/day.

Did you take an electric reading after you unplugged it? What is your hourly average so far?

The smart plug is arriving today so I will take some readings before turning it off.

How different are your two gas bills?  Only one will have had the Aga on it...  Are both really high?
Have you checked the gas meters and your bills both show the same units - cubic meters or feet?
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,
Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Its still good to have an idea of the house usage, Helps to find the hidden things once you have accounted for all things that you think it could be, And to estimate the annual usage/bill.

    Water heater 4kwh
    Freezer 3kwh
    Xxxx?  5kwh

The gas for the one without the Aga was actually more last year!

Led bulbs also good to get if the house is running older expensive filament bulbs?

I am still struggling to get to 9000kwh electricity unless you are using electric heaters somewhere?

With younger children they won't have their own TVs/game consoles/laptop or desktop so that's those out the window.

The big drain might be something you can't put a tapo P110 device on as it will only work with 3 pin plugged appliances.
