Current prediction for October is still scary for you, but much better than the fixed offered to you.
The following is our best guess based on the latest cap prediction.

I've not seen an even vaguely competitive fix from OFTM in months - I have to agree that it appears they are just now trying to keep going by relying on people not looking hard at the detail and accepting these hideous fixes.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I am on the same Tariff as you my bill has jumped from £1,512 a year to £5,400 a year. I have been tryig to change energy supplier this morning and no one is taking on new accounts0

That electric unit rate on the new tariff is atrocious, it makes Octopus fixed look godly, what the?

Looking at the variable rate for Outfox the Market my bill will be £2,240 per year (instead of the dreadful fixed tariff they are offering). Obviously this excludes the October 65% rise and the January 4% rise

If you can, turn off everything you normally leave in standby mode except the fridge, freezer and router. Lower the temperatures on the boiler to 50 degrees for water and 55 degrees for heating, it may take a bit longer to get the heating up to temperature which, IMO, should be no more than 18 degrees, but if you still feel cold at 18 degrees turn it up 1 degree.
Someone please tell me what money is0 -

Octopus
All taking on new customers and Green Energy offering a fix tariff called sparkling.0 -
Just incase the message has been lost in the chatter: do not accept their offer of a new fixed price. Simply move to the standard variable rate at the end of your fix.
Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to switch supplier at the moment. But, unless you have an EV, there's not much point for most.1 -
Outfox the market are quoting the most expensive tariff out there. They also have a whopping charge if you leave early. I have been checking for customers switching to Utility warehouse and have been shocked at Outfoxes tariffs.
