QDR parking fine.

Ive had a parking fine before, and as per advice on the forum I’ve just ignored it and they stopped sending me letters after around 2 letters. However I got one from parking eye 2 years ago! And they’re still chasing me for it, they’ve now sent a letter from QDR solicitors asking for £182 within 14 days or their client may consider court.
Is it still correct to ignore them? I only ask as they must be pretty set on getting it after 2 years surely! I don’t even own the car or live at the address it’s going to anymore.
Cheers!

You were never correct to ignore it. There is no advice saying that, unless you are in Scotland or NI?
We haven't advised that here since 2013!
Which PPC?
Read the NEWBIES thread to see what you should have done and what stage you are at now, and to read forum acronyms (if PPC means nothing to you).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As I was doing the same with this one from parking eye. However as I said, 2 years and they’re still sending things, Gladstones sent me a text, ignored it and then QDR a letter. I’m just checking is this the correct thing to do.0 -
No it isn't - hence the NEWBIES thread sections about all the stages.

Maybe I’m looking in the wrong place, but the newbies thread says to ignore debt collectors letters and do nothing0

Yes but post 2 tells you about pre-action letters (pre-court stage) and doing a SAR to get all the evidence...the letters you binned.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Right I’ll give that a read - originally the fine was from parking eye.0

Yep.
And now you've told us it's ParkingEye, then we can tell you this won't be likely to end with a court claim. They have their own litigation team and normally go straight to court after 4 letters, in the same year.
In the cases where they don't do that and instead farm it out to debt crawlers, it's because they are not sure of their position re litigation.
For example we think some Hospitals, plus other clients (Aldi and Asda) do not let ParkingEye sue. Which car park was it? Am I right?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Cheers for the response. I’ve sent an email asking for a SAR. The car park was Aire street in Leeds.0

Aire Street Leeds used to crop up a lot on here and it's a crappy, badly lit car park of potholes, IIRC. Avoid. Also I think it is contracted to a completely different parking firm who then let ParkingEye operate there. Search the forum!
Maybe the issue is they have lost cases in court re this site and so they aren't keen to waste money on Judges who already made it clear (perhaps) that claims here are meritless. If it is that, then you will never know but certainly ignore all debt crawler letters.
If and when the DRA gives up and PE write to you again in the end, you'll find it's back to £100. PE don't add the fake fees themselves.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
