Hi so I ordered from Ubereats last and the App Glitched and sent it an address miles away when I tried to inform the driver he was very rude. I sent him my the real address. But he refused to deliver them I contacted Uber who are refusing a refund claiming the driver tried to contact me wrong I contacted the driver. So they can't issue a refund

How much are we talking about? I assume this is a case of you desiring a refund and the company refusing, however some battles aren't worth the time...0

App glitched? Has anyone had that before?
The delivery man can only go by the details as per recognised process and I can see why they do this.

So it was the other side of town driver took the order so quick he was there before I had chance change the address I give him my real address stating the app had glitch but he refused to deliver there. I also have Autisum and I am a student so I allow the odd treat now and again.to be honest it's money I can't afford to lose0

I still find it staggering that an Uber app has that type of "glitch."1

Ah. Are you in fact suggesting that you initially gave the wrong address, either by design or mistake, with the intention of correcting it at some point after the order had been placed? The driver, it seems, went to the address he was first despatched to, which wasn't yours, and is now irritated at having been sent on a wild goose chase. I can't blame him.moonwolf128 said:So it was the other side of town driver took the order so quick he was there before I had chance change the address I give him my real address stating the app had glitch but he refused to deliver there. I spoke with trading standards who told me to put a dispute on the payment as I had informed the driver of the glitch0

No I didn't inted to send him to the wrong address the app ended up with a bug that sent him an a dress ordered from over a year ago0

You should expect to have your uber account banned for that, but it's probably your only chance of getting a refund at this point.moonwolf128 said:I spoke with trading standards who told me to put a dispute on the payment as I had informed the driver of the glitch
Uber Eats gives you a chance to "undo" your order within the first few seconds if you make a mistake, which you didn't do - after that point it is locked, and they don't allow you to make changes, because their whole algorithm is based on knowing exactly where a delivery is taking place. Drivers aren't allowed to deliver to other places, regardless of any messages you sent, so I suspect your dispute will be rejected, unless your bank is feeling particularly generous.2 -
It's possibly best to accept that the mistake was yours and to move on. Anything else will be a waste of time.moonwolf128 said:No I didn't inted to send him to the wrong address the app ended up with a bug that sent him an a dress ordered from over a year ago2
