Using My Phone to Pay

Hi
I see many people using their mobile phones to pay for purchases. I am forever fumbling about trying to get the right card out of my purse and then remember the right PIN number.
Clearly I need to move with the times - how do I do this please and which is the best App for this?
I have a Samsung S10 Lite.
Appreciate advice / opinions.
Many thanks.

https://www.visa.co.uk/pay-with-visa/featured-technologies/samsung-pay-consumer.html might be of interest as well.Your banking/card provider will probably determine what you can and can't use. This for Santander for example:

As above, not all cards/banks support the different payment apps (Barclaycard has its own).
But you should be able to enable multiple apps if all cards are required, and switch between them as required. Does diminish the slickness of paying with mobile, but useful for the odd occasion!.
Also be aware that using mobile to pay uses the NFC 'radio' chip in your phone, so some cases can conflict, e.g if the case has card slots with contactless cards in it!1 -
As you're using an Android phone then just Google Pay if your phone supports it. You will need NFC on the phone, if your phone doesn't support it then you're stuffed.
Also, as mentioned some cards, like Barclaycard require you to use their own app.0 -

Just to throw my experiences into the ring, if you bank with Barclays I would despair if it it was my sole account. If your bank accepts Google pay then be happy (coincidence here “Happy” just came on the music system in the pub , how weird🕶) Amex is also fine. Your phone has NFC so just download Google Pay and follow the instructions. Even an old fogie like me can do it.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

PS: why is the OP having to use a PIN no: no contactless card?No free lunch, and no free laptop2 -
I use Apple Pay and to be honest wouldn't be without it. I find it much safer than the tap type cards. Loose the card or have it stolen and someone could have a happy taping day! However, the card company will set the max you can spend at anyone time0
