Thanks for all the comments, some educational that I didn’t know, I don’t like being kept in the dark but if that’s the law then not a lot I can do, will I get an explanation at the end of what happened or does my accounts just reappear in the app and start working0

It would be good to hear from you when you know the eventual outcome..1 -

Well after 6 week’s restricting my account that had 6 times the amount paid in that was being questioned I have access again with a sorry for any inconvenience. Not one question has been answered and been contacted once every 7-14 days. There T&Cs state they should restrict the equal amount under question for 15 working days not 30. Also trying to give me 10% of the interest due in the second month which I am questioning. So I’m done money moved. I actually felt nervous about moving it incase they froze it again for another 6 weeks.1

This has happened to me today and I was wondering if people above got there problem resolved in the end?
A friend sent me some money for tickets I bought on my credit card yesterday. This has resulted in my account being frozen and for Chase to ask for Proof of Entitlement. Ive tried several times today to explain that its a friend of mines paying me money for tickets. All they have come back with is that they need a bank statement to prove the Entitlement. But my friends bank statement is there business, not mines.
So as a result of them crediting me money, I am locked out of not only the money they have sent me, but all my savings which have sat there for months.
To lock my entire account as a result of a credit madness. Luckily my salary is paid into a different account otherwise I have no idea how I would be able to pay my bills. And to make matters worse, Chase cannot give me a timeframe as to when they will investigate this so I am locked out until they do.
Is this even legal??!?0 -
I have friends send me money almost every week, For Costco shopping, Amazon purchases as have prime and they don’t,
I never thought this would cause my accounts to be frozen / locked.
It seems to be getting worse, with most banks doing this.
Glad I have 7 accounts now with emergency cash in.0 -

Sending them a bank statement for the purchase on my barclaycard is a good shout. I can do that no problem and will do that right now.
But when a friend pays another friend cash, its utter madness that they require bank statements from them as evidence of a non fraudulent transaction.
