Round when we took DSs stuff to his student house one of his friends from primary school was there and its a shock to see them all grown up, of course this lad is 20 so he isnt going to look like he did when he was 7, but I still picture him in my head as a youngster.
Stating the obvious but its hot, breezy now, but still hot. Cycled in, have done 6 hours at the paid stuff and cycled back home, have emptied DW, made a brew and wasted half an hour on the internet.
Need to feed myself, bring the washing in, maybe flick a duster around, and get back to the paid stuff.

Thank you for the lists. In again, in a very melting kind of way.
Valli, take it easy, don’t do too much x
Jazee, happy birthday! x
I hope all Toms, real or honorary, have a lovely holiday 😄
YL, glad you had a lovely break x
Kaz, impressive number of steps.
Towels in wm before work.
Another stupid busy day at work, was ready to scream by 8.30am. I calmed down slightly, eventually.Dinner thrown in the mw as it was too hot to think about doing anything else.
Allotment watered.9 -
DD washed my hair… in the garden. We used the car wash buckets. After a week with antibacterial shampoo it was yeuch.
I would love to undress to bare skin and shower. I itch.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear7 -
I managed most things off my list by 11.00, then fell asleep for 2½ hours. Visited DH this afternoon. he is less confused than he was yesterday, had walked to the bathroom and had a shower, but that was enough to wear him out. He is ready to move to the Orthopaedic ward when they have a bed for him - maybe tomorrow?
I ended up not going to the Old Wives' meeting as I was just too tired. Rosie hasn't had a walk, either. I've given her a good brush this evening and got out a lot more under coat. She didn't get that sort of attention when she was living in Romania as a street dog, so I trust she will cope with the heat better than I can.
Time to get some more sleep xx7 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok and that poorlies recover quickly.
I am just back from an early dog walk, no other plans or aspirations today but I'll report back if I do achieve anything.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Morning all.
Woke up at 5 this morning, fell back asleep just after 6 and ended up not getting up until 7:30 🥴
We have family coming for dinner tomorrow. Whilst we'll probably spend most of the time in the garden, they haven't seen our house (they were due to visit not too long after we moved, but then you-know-what happened) so I'd like to be able to show them round without having to close any doors! So, there's a lot of flying to be done today and tomorrow. My plan is to do as much as possible as early as possible, before it gets too hot and then probably sleep for a bit.
Hope everyone has a good day.9 -
Morning all,
Gentle hugs, Valli x
I hope Mr Ionafan continues to improve x
It’s an overcast start to the day here. All doors and windows are flung open to let in cool air before they have to be closed again. Bedding changed and in the wm. Hair washed. I’m not sure that I can face the hairdryer later - I may just have to go “wild” 😱. The dw just needs my breakfast bowl in, then it is ready to go.
DH is off work today too. He is off shortly to the dentist, then he wanted to go on his 5 yearly trip clothes shopping - really?? With me. It’s a 40 mile round trip for a few t shirts and shirts, so I’m not keen. Errrr, online shopping?? I have only frequented the cs for the past year (and not actually bought any clothes for me that I can remember) , and nothing in the couple of years before that, but men are from Mars after all. Still, I might have to “make an effort”.
On the flying front, I probably need to clean the bathroom, and definitely need to meal plan, as that has gone to pot over the past couple of weeks, what with DD being in and out randomly and DH being out for work.
Stay cool everyone x7
