Hm... so If I changed my nominated account to a High Street bank it might verify? I wonder if I even an do that at this stage...
Exactly, but if you've already applied I'm not sure if they'll change it or you'll need to reapply.

I've not had an account with BLME before.  From their FAQs it says that there is no online facility for their accounts, and it appears that, to either withdraw or close the notice account, you complete an online form.  Can anyone who's had/got an account with them, please tell me what the time lines are for withdrawals once notice ends, and how easy BLME are do deal with?  :)

How quick are Vanquis in sending withdrawn funds to the linked account? Since they do not have an easy access account I cannot test without putting their minimum opening deposit in first. Also how soon after sending the minimum deposit to them is it likley to take before they receive it? Thanks.

HTB do occasionally increase rates on existing issues, but tend to offer new Issues usually I think - never had to change an existing notice issue with them , so don't know if it works the same way (e.g contacting them to update the issue) or whether notice would need to be given.
it's not been recently updated, but their historic rates are available below -
looking back at my spreadsheet, I had a 95-Day Notice account (Issue 11) with them that paid 0.85% - their closing statement says that the rate of 0.85% never changed between opening/closing (July 2021 - June 2022)... for reference, when I opened the account, the UK interest base rate was 0.10%; when I closed it in June 2022, the UK interest base rate was 1.25%
their 95-day rate of 4.30% is virtually 1% behind the leading notice rates, so might be worth giving notice and looking / planning for alternatives... I would guess that EA rates would still be above 4.3% by the time the funds are returned.... and if not and their rate increases significantly, you could cancel the notice.

Dudley Building Society.  Can anyone confirm whether Dudley BS generally pass on interest rate increases on their notice accounts, please?

for reference, Dudley BS issued new notice accounts yesterday (min £1k).
    • 120-Day @ 5.45%
    • 90-Day @ 5.35%
    • 60-Day @ 4.90%
    • 30-Day @ 4.50%
much like FirstSave, should you need to you can withdraw immediately by paying a 30/60/90/120 interest penalty.

interestingly, reading the t&c yesterday, upon an interest rate reduction, it implies that you can close the account immediately without penalty or charges.
(ii) in relation to a reduction of Interest we will provide you with at least 14 days’ prior notice by a letter, email, other personal notice or, if you have registered for our Online Service, we may provide notice by secure message.
If you are unhappy with a reduction to the Interest rate, you may at any time up to 30 days from the date of the notice close your Account without charge. If you do not do so within this period you will be deemed to have accepted the change.
i'm reading the "date of the notice" to be the notice given by Dudley BS of the interest rate reduction, rather than the notice period of the account itself. I sent them a secure message yesterday about this, and will update the thread with their reply.
from past experience with Dudley BS, they should accept a £1 test deposit.

sorry, I can't help with that as i've never had a notice account with them before - but unlike some of their previous notice accounts, there is no "Issue" in the product title, so hopefully rate increases will be passed on.
Can't seem to open an account with Dudley. Keep getting this when I hit submit on my application for the 120D notice.:

    Sorry, but something went wrong
