Notice Accounts

It’s interesting. Around September 90 day notice accounts were running at half a percent HIGHER than base rate, but they haven’t generally risen as fast as the BoE rate. They’ve recently been running at half a percentage point LOWER. So I’m not sure we’ll see 4% from many accounts. I’m pretty sure we’ll get rises up to at least 3.5% though. Decent easy access have been stuck around 2.8 -2.9 for a bit. I think they’ll be conservative and may rise to 3.2- 3.3. That would be my guess. The 90 day notice accounts might creep closer to 4 in a few weeks if it looks like the rate will rise again or if they start competing against each other more strongly. We’ll see, I guess. It will be interesting to see what new products start floating about.Burcot said:SB - I'm sure you are right - I am hoping and easy access or up to 90 day accounts move into the 3.5 to 4% with the latest rate rise.1 -
I have a 90 day OakNorth 3.2% account that closes in a few days. I can cancel the closure and opt for another 90days with OakNorth. Is there another account to transfer to that would be worth while (more than 3.2%) - 3.2% for a 90d still seems to be up with the best?0

Allica Bank are doing 95 days at 3.4%.Burcot said:I have a 90 day OakNorth 3.2% account that closes in a few days. I can cancel the closure and opt for another 90days with OakNorth. fourmarks and SB - thanks. I have about 4 or 5 days to change or hopefully others move higher. Perhaps Oaknorth will compete?0

3.4% is tempting but I wish it was monthly interest instead of yearly. I think I’ll hang on and see what else pops up.1

Very wise. I would hope there will be a few more positive developments next week.SuzzleBumpkin said:3.4% is tempting but I wish it was monthly interest instead of yearly. I think I’ll hang on and see what else pops up.1 -
