Question for Expotter or anyone else who knows… How long after an interest rate rise do notice accounts follow suit with better rates? What usually happens? Is there any competing between providers?0
-
The only true answer to your question is: it varies a lot. Some seem to react quite quickly like OakNorth and Allica have done recently, sometimes they release new issues to their accounts though, so you have to open a new one and transfer your savings; sometimes they don't and they just increase the variable rate like Zopa has done so far, but it only recently upped their rates to match the other ones. Then there's always some newcomers offering good rates, so at least there always seem to be several banks trying to compete.SuzzleBumpkin said:Question for Expotter or anyone else who knows… How long after an interest rate rise do notice accounts follow suit with better rates? I've only had personal experience with Zopa and only recently started compiling these lists, so can't give you much of a historical perspective, but one thing I do know is that there are no set rules.1 -

Has anyone experience of investing with the high paying BLME bank?0

I have an account with BLME. What do you want to know?Burcot said:Has anyone experience of investing with the high paying BLME bank?0 -
SB - thanks for response. I have spread money around a number of accounts. I have not used this one because it is slightly different in payment of interest... I was hoping to hear it is safe and that someone else has used it. Lots of talk of Oaknorth, Investect ect but not this one.0
