You were right not to accept their offer despite what others have said. You probably won't get 200MB for £18 this time but they definitely still have retention offers of 100MB for £16, 200MB for £21 and 350MB for £28 available

Artyboy1973 I got an text from Virgin Media this morning with a deal for 100mb broadband for £22. I phoned the number and managed to keep my 200mb fibre broadband and land line for £21 a month on a new 18 month contract.

Great news ...Just shows that if you keep your nerve you can succeed...Sometimes its about listening to your instinct rather than others; you are the one that knows the value of what you are buying? Well done. .

Thanks. Yeah I was delighted to get the text from them telling me that they have a deal and I managed to get it down to £21 and keep my 200mb fibre broadband. This caused nothing but stress for me but it was worth it in the end.

I’m happy with that as I would of have had to go through a credit check which I always fail if I went with another broadband provider. I don’t understand why I fail the credit checks as I’ve never been in debt and I have always been good with money.

Maybe one for another section of the forum, but do you have a credit card, mortgage or other loan?
If not, that may be your issue perhaps?

Where can you check the retention offers?
