As we are with Three and they have a 5g mast at the end of the street, they have confirmed we will be within signal we are looking at signing. Done a speed check on my 4g phone and hovering around 100Mb. If we signed for 5g modem and had to move to an are where no 5g signal told we would then pick up the best 4g plus or 4g, can anyone confirm this? Also our current Now modem sends a very poor signal around the flat, is the Three router any better. Thanks for any input.
Yes you would get the fastest possible speed depending on signal. One option you might consider is using "Smarty" which uses the Three network. But Smarty is 30 day rolling contracts. Which gives you the same speed as Three at your current street and the option of changing provider if the signal isn't as good when you move.

When tethering to a smart tv, I'm finding that the speed is far slower than on the phone so there is a lot of buffering.
On the phone, if the speed is about 28Mbps, I only get about 3.4Mbps speed on the tv when doing a speed test. And even turning off Extend compatibility in the hotspot settings to use 5.0Ghz doesn't improve the speed.
Any ideas if there's any settings to improve it?0
