Should read the charger is not working
Maybe a silly question, but have you checked that there's nothing stuck inside the charge port, like a piece of fluff or similar?  It does happen.

I plugged in to my laptop and only very very slow to charge and only got to 12%.  There was a message saying that this will be very slow to charge and I should use the charger that came with the phone.
My daughter ordered the charger but put it through on my American Express
It cost £!6.99 I will get her to give the order no and send it back.  Supposed to be fast charge but it never was. Slow to charge from the beginning.  Sorry I have delayed in responding to my post/  Thank you all so much  Sue

In the short term, you can leave it plugged into the laptop overnight (?) but make sure you leave it on something non-flammable (tin lid perhaps?) as mobiles have, on rare occasions, been known to overheat when charging.

Well folks I am back in business.  I went to a shop in town with accessories.  They have a lot of things quite a big shop.  He immediately knew what I needed and the fast charger.  He plugged it in and it was working so I could see it was charging and fast too.  It was £20 but I am just glad to have it sorted and working  It says INMOTION on the actual plug.  I checked it just now and the plug is warm.  It says charging rapidly one hour to full charge.  It was 30% before I plugged it in
Thanks to you all for your help.  Until the next time,  Sue
