Ask in the appeal for them to check for a keying error or keypad failure as mentioned in the press, where Rockpool was named and shamed:

Okay, I actually found a direct email address for their appeals department in the Daily Mail article, so I've emailed them the appeal template from the NEWBIES post, and added a part about their failure to comply with POFA. I also bought up the recent press coverage, pointing out that the Rockpool is one of these offending sites where the machines have been configured to scam people out of money, and told them I require that they check for a keying error or keypad failure.
I guess I just wait and see what happens next.
Thanks everyone for your help.1 -

In that case, I would send an appeal by post as well. Send it first class from a Post Office counter, and make sure you obtain the all important free proof of posting.

My friend's Rockpool one just got cancelled at IAS stage.
Armtrac offered no contest. My friend did include the photo of the dodgy machine from the Daily Mail article.

I have a feeling that Armtrac are hoping this storm will blow over and the scam can then continue. Well I have news for them.
I have a family holiday booked in Cornwall for the last week of August. Joining us will be my film crew (Tech savvy adult children and their partners). Last year they were my Sherpas but I have decided to promote them to film crew.
Briefings have already been circulated - we will video record every car park visit and new HD dash cams will be fitted to all cars. The crew will be provided with instructions on the message to communicate to anyone nearby wondering what we are up to. This is a scam trap car park, your PCN will arrive when you get home, record your evidence now. That’s what we are doing.
I will also have prepared warning stickers to attach to any machine* found not accepting or printing a full registration number. These will include not only the advice to keep their parking tickets for 6 years, take full pictures of all signs and the ticket machine but also links to here.
Daily press releases will be posted every evening.
It would however be nice to arrive and find the scam has been sorted. You have been pre warned Armtrac, I am coming to get you and the whole PPC industry.* yup I know technically criminal damage - but trust me I have that covered too - glovesand anonymous masks

Please then tell us here that you have done so.10 -
If you are near enough, can you go to Polzeath and do the same warnings in Alliance Parking car parks please?

Horrendous company that refuses to let registered keepers appeal, but is happy to hold them liable and sue them.
The IPC say that's perfectly OK.
Imagine my surprise, especially given the notorious guy who runs Alliance (used to run AS Parking) is on the IPC Board of 'people':

Mouse007, now that's what I call a fightback.
If possible, please also tell people about the forthcoming public consultation on parking fees, and the fact that PPCs want to increase them (from the amount the government has quoted) and then to add on fake additional amounts that they haven't incurred. Warn them that without public involvement, parking charges could go up to £170 a pop.I married my cousin. Warn them that without public involvement, parking charges could go up to £170 a pop.£200 in London, and any other tickets with a base price of £130!Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
