Yes it is. Reply by email to Excel.

    Litigation@ works, I think.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Ok, so I sent a SAR but have only received an acknowledgment email though the 30 days is not up yet. I emailed excel informing them that I was seeking debt advice. Yesterday I’ve received a letter from ELMS ‘notification of instruction’ The letter states that it’s in my interests to phone them to reach an amicable result and to avoid further legal action. Incidentally the letter is dated 29/7 and has only been received yesterday 4/8 it’s taken 6 days to get here! What would be my next step please
  • Copy of letter
  • I guess phoning them is not a good idea although I would like to know why excel has chosen to ignore any correspondence.

A debt collectors letter. The '14 days' is the give away.

The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread describes exactly how to deal with a debt collectors letter.
  • Many thanks KeithP. I will re read the newbies thread. Im very grateful for the help.

They will after 6 years (5 in Scotland), now if you answer @KeithP's question he will give you information about your deadline for submitting your AoS and then your defence, along with links as to where to find the template defence.
