    Change:

    "I found the parking meter"

    to

I finally located the single, hidden parking machine

(they aren't called meters these days).

  • OK, so I'm ready to email the bundle of 30 pages to the court and the claimant. Do i need to sign the WS, Exhibits and the cost with a conventional signature and then scan the documents or can i just type my name and date into the statement of truth etc
  • nearly forgot! is there a preferred font type and size for the WS, and a certain format to the document too

Once again, ChatGPT (There are other AI chatbots available) is your friend:

Q: What is the preferred font and size for a witness statement?

    A:
    1. There is no specific font or size that is required for a witness statement. However, it is important to ensure that your statement is clear, easy to read, and professional. Here are some general guidelines that you may wish to follow:
    2. Font: Use a clear and legible font, such as Arial, Times New Roman, or Calibri. Avoid using decorative fonts, as these can be difficult to read.
    3. Size: Use a font size that is large enough to be easily read, but not so large that it looks unprofessional. A font size of 11 or 12 is usually appropriate.
    4. Formatting: Use standard formatting, such as 1-inch margins and single-spacing, to make your statement look professional and easy to read.
    5. Headings: Use headings to separate different sections of your statement, such as the introduction, the body, and the conclusion. This will make your statement easier to navigate and understand.
    6. Overall, the key is to make your witness statement clear and easy to read, so that it can be easily understood by the judge or other parties involved in the case.

Of course, you can just search this forum for typical examples too.

Oh... and your other friend, Google, found this useful, official guide:

And it's already in the Newbies thread!

Bargepole's linked thread about Court Procedures tells everyone this.

Re signature, just sign a blank white piece of paper and take a photo of it and pop that image in the right place under the statement of truth and above the date.
