    Thank you for looking.
I bought a pair of levi jeans around 8 weeks ago and have only just wore them. They are a 32 length leg , my usual length, upon wearing them I found they were too short, so I measured them and they are in fact a good inch to short, measuring just under 31 inches.
Would I be within my rights to return them?
    Thank you
Unlikely unless they have a change of mind policy.

How many High Street shops don't do change of mind refunds these days?  Hardly any in my experience.
They do, but a lot are only up to 28 days.
Even M&S who used to be very generous in that respect are only 35 days. OP has had these for 8 weeks so is likely to be outside of their timescales for change of mind.,
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Different styles may have different fits but an inside leg measurement of 32" is a specific length.
    I'm not sure I agree.
Particularly for ladies jeans, which have "standard" length styles (similar to men's jeans) and the longer, flared bootcut styles which drag on the floor and the cropped ankle grazer styles, which end part-way up the leg somewhere leaving the ankle showing.  For a 32" leg, the actual material length would vary between those styles.
Then add in the varying styles variations for the upper fit, some ladies jeans are similar to men's jeans, but then ladies have the variance of "high rise", "sit on waist", "sit below waist" to contend with followed by the variance in lower fit of the upper style, tight & huggy or loose and baggy.  If the crotch is lower and the leg is to end in the same place, that results in a varying material length.

Even in the OP's photo, the two pairs of jeans once laid out have four different leg lengths.

If the jeans are unworn, though, I would expect good customer service from Levi store.  Hopefully the OP will be able to report back when the matter is resolved.

I returned the jeans the store manager measured the legs, totally agreed with me and gave me a full refund.
    One happy Levi customer x
Did he/you compare with any of the other jeans (of that same style) in store.

OK, so we don't know then that those particular pair were simply an aberration, possibly mislabelled or simply a bad batch, or were they in fact "normal" in terms of design. Either way, you got  the right result.

I read somewhere that often mass produced clothing is cut out more than one piece at a time - and there can be considerable variation between the top and bottom of the stack of cloth.  Add slight differences in sewing, and you can get considerable differences within a single batch.  Useful to know if you try something on and it is nearly right - check the stock and see if any are slightly larger/smaller.

I really don’t understand anyone saying that a pair of jeans that have a 32 inch leg measurement in the label doesn’t have to be 32 inches

different styles have different lengths etc

32 inch leg should be 32 inch leg , stone washed or otherwise

    pleased the store agreed

We know they weren’t 32 inches as per the label, that’s all that mattered
