Levi Jean's incorrect leg measurement

  • They may be the same style, but the ones you are complaining about are clearly pre-washed/pre-shrunk/stonewashed/distressed.

Does that matter?  (40 years ago I would have automatically known the answer but not any more!   :D )

    🤣...thank you...40 years ago 32 inches measured 32 inches also, not 31 inches or 33...just my opinion 😉 x

Take them to them back to the Levi shop and report back what they say.

Different styles may have different fits but an inside leg measurement of 32" is a specific length.

If you obviously  haven't worn them and still have the receipt the shop will almost certainly just refund you anyway, regardless of the leg length.  You only bought them 8 weeks ago.

    Thank you for looking.
I bought a pair of levi jeans around 8 weeks ago and have only just wore them. They are a 32 length leg , my usual length, upon wearing them I found they were too short, so I measured them and they are in fact a good inch to short, measuring just under 31 inches.
Would I be within my rights to return them?
    Thank you
Unlikely unless they have a change of mind policy.

Their official policy for "Inside leg" is

    Inside Leg

Place the tape on the inside of the leg and measure from the crotch to the ankle.

They have a helpful image showing this

Now I think there is a good inch of wiggle room based on that picture, and I suspect the jeans you go were the correct size.
Perhaps go to a Levi's store and hold them up against the 32 and 31 inch inside leg jeans to see how they stack up?

How many High Street shops don't do change of mind refunds these days?  Hardly any in my experience.

I buy Levi's, have done for years, from various outlets/sources and their garments measurements have always been off.

There are numerous examples of it and a lot of retailers/sellers will make this fact known on their site/page and will provide the true size in the body of text somewhere.

Levi's official site will guide by providing information from buyers feedback regarding true fit, also, they'll refund quickly and easily if you buy wrongly.
If i'm buying them i always buy multiple sizes to assess the best fit.

There are some ebay shops that sell Levi's (and others) and they're great at providing the garments actual measurements.

Edit: they also have one of the 'narrowest' bootcut i've seen - flare is a better choice to get a wider lower leg width/measurement.
