For my region. same standing charge but:
Unit rate E 42.17p per kWh G 10.82p per kWh 0 -
I've been mulling this over myself so I ran the numbers based on the 51% increase predicted by Cornwall Insight and provided the increase isn't bigger than 51% and there isn't another jump in April it doesn't really make any sense to take this deal.

Your figures for the October SVT look off, 11.05p for gas is very low, 44.51p for electricity is very high.
It will not change anything on your conclusion.0 -
You've simply added 51% to the unit costs which is incorrect. The increase of 51% is the overall increase prediction based on the average home using the average amount of energy.Frap_Gadz said:I've been mulling this over myself so I ran the numbers based on the 51% increase predicted by Cornwall Insight and provided the increase isn't bigger than 51% and there isn't another jump in April it doesn't really make any sense to take this deal.

I do understand the limitations of my predictions, the figures are a guess based on the information we have available.I'd be welcome to see anyone else's estimate if they think they have a better idea.0

Taking the Standing Charge off that's approx 42p elec and 12.5p gas. ApproximatelyThanks, means it's even less worth it with the updated numbers:

I'm on EON Next Standard - I've calculated that at 51% my unit prices will end up as follows:
£ 0.42138 E - Calculated Unit Price £ 0.11207 G - Calculated Unit Price 0 -
That is not how it works. You can't just add 51% to the unit rates. The increase is different for gas and electricity.DE_612183 said:I'm on EON Next Standard - I've calculated that at 51% my unit prices will end up as follows:£ 0.42138 E - Calculated Unit Price £ 0.11207 G - Calculated Unit Price
Gas is more an increase of 70%

Well if Gas is predicted to be more of an increase then it maybe better to lockin for winter.
P.S. What is the exit fee and can you exit to go onto the standard tariff ? (p.s. I never thought I would ask that last question!)0
