Have emailed them the following:
"HelloI'm disgusted at the way your firm has treated me regarding this case. I've not heard from you in fourteen days. I can't get through to you on the phone. 40mins waiting yesterday and combined 45 mins today and counting as I'm still waiting in your queue.I'm going to pay the CCJ off today for the full amount and then I'm going to take you to court to claim it back and compensation for time spent on this and severe distress.I repeat, me paying this CCJ off today is NOT an acceptance that I owe the money. Its solely to make sure it does not stay on my credit report for six years.Sincerely"
Small claims court for this case now I guess?
Also, never address a solicitor firm: 'hello'. It's Dear Sirs then ends 'yours faithfully'.
And you won't be suing them (the solicitor). You will be suing the parking firm. That's not an easy task and has to be pleaded properly. And you'd need to send an LBC first.
To get this (the LBC) right you might want to ask David at SmallClaimsAdvisor to write it for you:
https://smallclaimsadvisor.co.uk/
I am not connected with that company but what he doesn't know about small claims and parking firms can be written on the head of a pin!
When you made the payment which website did you pay it to? Solicitor or parking firm?
Did you include the PCN and Court claim refs?
1. Earlier in the email trail and my initial phonecall to QDR does cover that this was already paid and that the CCJ shouldn't have been issued.
2. Noted.
3. Will give him a call thanks.
4. I paid via QDRs website. I included the reference number that they had given me. I also emailed them saying it wasn't an acceptance of money owed it was just to stop my credit file being ruined.

When does this time period (30 days) expire?
If I was in your position I would be looking at claiming against the principal
30 days expires tomorrow I believe.

Have filled in the form for the small claims advisor. I think he's exactly what I need so hope he takes the case.

There you go - got you there!
The case looks like one he might like (we know him here). David and I both appeared separately on this TV show recently, that you will like:

Watch that to understand the con operated by PPCs. I'm the lady on the beach in Sussex.
David is based in a different part of the country but is a trusted contact and posts here too. You do have to supply him with scanned PDFs of everything he asks for. Not screenshots or photos on a phone, AFAIK.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Update: With my assistance, the OP issued a claim against UKPC, in the sum of £539 + £85 Court filing fee.
They didn't Acknowledge Service, or file a Defence, and he duly obtained Judgment in Default.
They have now asked for his bank details to make payment of the Judgment. Game over.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.10 -

Claim for damages arising from tort and/or breach of the Data Protection Act 2018. On 12 October 2019, the Claimant was issued with a Parking Charge Notice ('PCN') at the Metrocentre, Gateshead. Following correspondence, the Defendant's legal representatives agreed to accept the sum of £60 in full and final settlement, which the Claimant paid on 1 February 2021. The Defendant then issued Claim No. J1HM42N4 in 2022, for recovery of the PCN and associated costs, totalling £289. The claim was served to the Claimant's old address, and he only discovered it when he found he had a Judgment in Default. The Claimant paid the Judgment to avoid damaging his credit file, and now seeks reimbursement of the £289, plus a compensatory payment of £250 for the unlawful processing of his personal data contrary to s2 of the DPA 2018. And the Claimant claims: a) £539 as the principal sum; b) Interest at such rate and for such period as the Court deems fit; c) Costs.

Hi just came on to update the thread but I see David has gotten here before me.
With Davids help it was a very simple process. But it's one I couldn't have done on my own so thanks for the recommendation to his service.
Payment was received this afternoon. For anyone else in a similar position I recommend Davids service. Very reasonably priced and knowledgable. Takes the stress and feeling of helplessness out of the situation.https://smallclaimsadvisor.co.uk/ is his site.

Did he tell you about the upcoming Public Consultation about the level of parking charges, and how important it is that victims like you respond (because you were one, until you turned the tables on UKPC)?
We ALL need to weigh in when the Government opens the Consultation.
