    Unfortunately they just sell it as Lego in a box, it’s gutted that the box is damaged but they are only gonna offer a small cash refund, or a full return. 

    They don’t make it anymore so they can’t give you a new one and they aren’t gonna give you a big big discount and let you keep it.

    I collect trainers so understand your pain but Lego simply aren’t going to give you what you want them to. 

    They sold you a box with Lego in you can return the Lego or keep it, they aren’t going to give you money to buy one on eBay or anything stupid like that.

    I had a similar issue with a small set direct from Lego. The outer box they used just did not protect the inner properly. I did raise the issue with Lego senior management but have been surprised that they did not reply to my email. So Lego if you are out there you have a significant issue with outer packaging. Other vendors do better, a lot better.
