Any case involving an I a 1 or an l O or 0 should be treated as gdpr breach with the landowner being dragged in kicking and screaming if needed over the actions of its agents

Amazing, the BPA has known for a long time aboit the mney scammers and has done NOTHING

Now the CMA is breathing on them, they had better wake up their ideas before it gets worse

Tourist Mark Roe, a non-practising solicitor had contacted Giles Gould, chief operating officer at Jubilee Pool, over the issue, who confirmed to him that St Anthony's car park is a pay-on-exit facility but "whilst the operation of the car park is legally compliant, we are aware that there is some confusion around the ANPR camera and the pay-on-exit system".

Mr Roe asked the pool to scrap his PCN as he claimed it will have been issued with instructions to rescind 'fines' if it wishes to do so by Parkingeye.

Mr Roe added: "Your agreement with them will set out the basis of charges and I suspect it will conflict with what’s actually happening on the ground. The operation of your car park is blatantly not legally compliant. I respectfully ask you reconsider contacting Parkingeye to rescind the PCN for all the reasons set out.

"If that doesn’t happen you are party with Parkingeye to a scam, if not a fraud.

"You know there has been consistent confusion with this issue to the extent you are working to a solution with Parkingeye, but clearly not quick enough, and seemingly oblivious to the time and upset being caused to your customers."

Cornwalllive asked Jubilee Pool and Parkingeye for a comment.

Mr Gould said he had already replied to Mr Roe in the email exchange we have seen and reiterated they have contacted Parkingeye over it. He reiterated: "I have passed this onto our account manager with Parkingeye and awaiting a response."

"info@parkingeye.co.uk only accepts messages from people in its organization or on its allowed senders list, and your email address isn't on the list."

Sounds like Jubilee Pool has missed the recent CMA public announcements on private parking industry.

Amazing how legal conveyancers don't appear to step outside their little zone of expertise.

The brokers only get paid if they sell a product.

Ergo, they will say anything which makes their lives easier, namely; don't get a CCJ for any reason because if we cannot sell you a product then we won't get our money.

This biggest bit of advice would be 'keep your V5 up to date'.

The CCJs which do the damage are the ones which you don't know about until it's too late.
